Q: Hello, here I would like to add some suggestion that we believe VECTERA is missing but that are important.
1.- It would be nice to be able to give the client to choose an appointment that is longer than just 1 hour. I would appreciate the possibility of offering the client the same choice between several options.
For example: 1/2 hour, 1 hour, 1 1/2 hour, 2 hours, 2 1/2, 3 hours, 4 hours since most of the time the sessions depending on the subject or class of client vary the times a lot Necessary.
It is not the same a consultation review of a material that with 30 minutes may be fine, but for a class of a new material or topic that can take up to 3 or 4 hours. What are Coaching sessions or therapies can often be 90 minutes or 120 minutes. But class sessions or meetings can be 2, 3 or 4 hours. And all these possibilities VECTERA does not offer them for a professional service. And some of its competitors do offer these important possibilities for the business.
2.- Another professional and fundamental characteristic for us is that we can block a few days or weeks. I mean we are given the option in VECTERA to schedule appointments 2, 3 or 4 days and up. That no appointment can be made today or in the next few days that I block. And also that I can block I would see weeks or months that you cannot ask for appointments. Whether for holidays, for illness, the reasons that it is for example that 2 or 3 months in summer we do not want to make appointments and those months are blocked. But that customers who want if they can request their appointments for when they resume consultations or classes again.
Here is an example of blocking days: if I block 2 days. In the calendar of appointments they would always be offered from the third working day. If today is Tuesday the customer the first appointment he could ask is from Friday since the next 2 days 'Wednesday and Thursday' have been blocked. As if those 2 days were already complete and it is also good for the professional to have that reaction margin for his appointment in case he has to prepare some material or agenda before the appointment.
3.- We would also like a more professional Whiteboard. He lacks some fundamental things for a professional job, in order to be able to give a case with the Whiteboard well didactic for clients and students.
For example add:
- Geometric shapes such as squares, circles, triangles, lines, etc, etc, ... to easily make and demonstrate constructions or signs.
- Figures as forms of people, symbols, signs, etc, etc, ... to be able to make better demonstrations and explanations of the topics that are spoken and taught.
And so it can be used by a teacher teaching a child or adult student, or an engineer explaining something more technical, or a Coach or Therapist who needs to explain something with an example to his client or patient.

May 15, 2024A: Hi there!
Happy to answer questions and suggestions!
1. You can define the appointment duration when you create an appointment type (see ‘Duration’. It’s editable in minutes. So 2 hours = 120 minutes). This can be 15min, but also 3 hours. Up to you! You can then create multiple appointment types with each different durations that you think will suit your clients.
I’ll see to it that we make this more clear in the interface!
2. Blocking time slots from within Vectera is not yet possible indeed - but will be in the future. At the moment, you can block moments/days/weeks in the calendar you synced with and Vectera will take those unavailable moments into account when showing possible time slots for your clients.
3. The whiteboard supports shapes at this moment. You can find them in the toolbar on the left of every whiteboard. The standard selected one is the arrow, but if you click on it you’ll see you can also select a square, circle, triangle and line.
More shapes are on their way as well! As the whiteboard is one of our important features, it’s top priority to keep improving.
4. That’s a good suggestion to add multiple reminders! I’ll add that as a feature request. Can you shoot me an email at oliver@vectera.com with your details? I’ll let you know when it’s there.
5. A full translation feature is planned before the end of 2019. Both the scheduler and the complete meeting interface will be translatable into your own language.
6. See 5!
7. You can activate Private Notes in the Settings in the meeting room. A button will pop up next to Chat. I can’t add a screen shot here, but if you send me an email at oliver@vectera.com I’m happy to show you how you can find it!
I’d also like to share our public roadmap where you can track all features in backlog and what’s coming up next: https://trello.com/b/9wOUNUIj/vectera-public-roadmap
If there’s anything else I can help with, I’m all ears!
All the best,
Oliver
