Disappointing Backtesting and Limited Asset Coverage
I've been exploring various trading platforms to hone my investment strategies, and Kepla caught my eye. Unfortunately, my experience has been underwhelming, to say the least. I initially had issues with the backtesting functionality – a crucial tool for any trader. When comparing the results from Kepla's backtesting to those on Tradingview, there were glaring discrepancies that raised red flags for me.
To give Kepla the benefit of the doubt, I tested a fundamental strategy involving stochastic indicators: buy when oversold and sell when overbought. Astonishingly, Kepla returned "no results" for this basic strategy, which is a red flag for any platform professing reliable backtesting capabilities.
Seeking assistance from their support team turned into an exercise in patience. It took days to receive a response, and when I finally did, the answer was a vague promise of a "fix." Hoping this was an isolated incident, I tried another straightforward strategy only to be met with the same "no results" message.
Again, I reached out to their support team and have yet to receive any acknowledgment after more than a week. This lack of communication has eroded my trust in Kepla's ability to provide dependable support and effective problem resolution.
Furthermore, Kepla's limitations extend beyond just its backtesting – currently, it's restricted to cryptocurrency markets only. This is a significant drawback for traders interested in diversifying their portfolios with stocks.
In conclusion, Kepla has fallen short of my expectations as a trading tool. The unreliable backtesting and poor customer service have left me with no confidence in the product. Until these issues are addressed and the platform evolves to include a broader range of assets, I cannot recommend Kepla to serious traders looking for a robust and reliable trading companion.
