I received an email on 8/27/24 that Vidds is shutting down. Well, that lifetime deal didn't last as long as I thought it would. I don't blame AppSumo, and I know it's a risk we take when trying to support startups, but it is disappointing when it happens.

I needed help on a Sunday morning...took a chance on chatting about my issue. Boom-it was resolved in 1 minute! How about that? I am also very excited about having my marketing team use this awesome product. We will be posting videos everyday now! It seems so easy to do. Also, thanks for providing that 1st video explaining how to create our 1st video. It is very helpful as well. Any new team members should be able to view it and get busy working.

I’m an author, so I purchased Vidds to create book trailers. After looking at some template videos, I started my first video from scratch and expected a few bumps along the way. Much to my surprise, the process was straightforward, even without a template. I love that Vidds includes links to royalty-free photos, videos, and music—although I’d also like more atmospheric music selections, as well as sounds (thunderclap, siren, etc.) The drop-and-drag design is impressive, and the videos are 1080p.

Enhancements I’d like to see include:

1. The ability to select multiple objects (photos or text) simultaneously to change the animation settings to be identical.

2. The option to search for photos using the photographer’s name (which I tried but didn’t seem to work). Searching by name is useful because many photographers use the same model in multiple shots, which helps if you are trying to tell a “story” with your video.

3. An area to add brief notes about the video, perhaps in the project settings.

But you know what? If Andrew and Ed decide not to grant any of my wishes, I’ll still keep using Vidds because it is a great tool!

To speed up making clips for tiktok or shorts, it takes about 2-3 layers to insert text, animated clips. and then upload the clip, it will automatically be inserted into the background layer. The limitation of vidd is that it does not automatically adjust the time according to the uploaded clip, and there is no room to increase the volume before exporting.
