While I have tools like descript, wisecut, and minvo, which were recently offered here on Appsumo, I became intrigued by Video Tap in that it offers a Swiss Army Knife approach of sorts by doing what the tools above do and perhaps a little bit more.

I like the streamlined approach of Video Tap, which simply submits a YouTube URL for processing and then provides several options from there (this is where the Swiss Army Knife comes in). After processing is complete, you will have multiple video shorts to choose from (including transcription), a blog entry summarizing the entire video, and if you connect it with YouTube, it will automatically generate chapters, descriptions, etc., which you can freely edit. Otherwise you can manually copy and paste, such as when you need to update a video that's already been published.

If you don't like the video shorts Video Tap produces, you can choose your own by selecting from the transcribed text. I also like the Virality Score concept that emphasizes the unique content of each video clip generated by the AI.

I ran into a few speed bumps during my first test, but Ado resolved them in REAL-TIME with me during a chat session. Wow. Now that incredible support.

For those who may have just missed the Minvo offer, or if you are like me and have Minvo already, I would still recommend you go for Tier 2 on this baby. Between Minvo and Video Tap, I think that's a good hedge bet to see which of these tools best serves you in the long run. But please give Video Tap a try. Even if you don't have your own clip available, you can grab one off YouTube just to try it out and see if you like it.
