Q: Will you in the future be able to push edits direct to youtube rather than manuelly copying and pasting?

Edited May 22, 2025A: We’ve definitely considered allowing users to push edits (like title, description, tags) directly from VidTechy to YouTube. Technically, this is possible through the YouTube Data API. However, we decided not to implement it for now due to some key limitations — especially around API quota usage.
Here’s why:
• Updating video details through the API (like using videos.update) consumes 50 quota units per call.
• If we allow pushing edits at scale — especially across multiple channels or bulk updates — it could quickly consume your daily quota limit.
• YouTube’s default daily quota is 10,000 units per user (or per project), which can be used up very quickly if not carefully managed.
• For reference, even a single video upload via API (videos.insert) takes 1,600 quota units.
That said, we’re actively monitoring YouTube’s API changes, and if a more scalable solution becomes available, we’ll definitely reconsider adding this feature in the future.

I've automated the creation of images, songs, and videos and upload the completed video to my channel daily. It would be great to complete research in VidfTechy, then feed that into the beginning of my process via an api so I could name the files, folders, albums, etc using the info from VidTechy. That would only use 1600 towards the yt quota.

If there’s enough demand, we’ll definitely consider building it.
That said, we also have to carefully manage YouTube’s quota limits (especially with the 1600 units per upload), since it impacts all users across the platform. But we’re open to exploring solutions that balance both power and scalability.
