First and foremost, viewflip was not launched by us as a Teamviewer alternative or as a copy of other remote access solutions on the market, but to simplify collaboration between people. In fact, in terms of logic, it was intended to be the exact opposite of Teamviewer, because in first instance I'm sharing my own view with someone else instead of only getting someone else's on my computer.

However, with viewflip you can also access others, as you are used to with Teamviewer, by sending them an access request via the key symbol. We call this function “attended access”. The desktop must be unlocked for this and it is not possible to restart the computer. We do not plan to build the wakeup feature in near future. However, with the Auto-Accept function, it is possible to establish access without manual confirmation via a pop-up.

While Teamviewer limits simultaneous connections, with viewflip you and your team experience no limitation on simultaneous connections. We also do not differentiate between “host” and “guest”. Each user has their own account, with their own e-mail address, under which they can register two devices. They can be assigned to a workspace or remain independent as a free Join plan user and decide for themselves.
