Not a TeamViewer replacement.

I had some hope that this could free me from the TeamViewer license. However, I believe this is better suited for internal organizations. The program's structure is actually quite clever, but the handling is a bit cumbersome. I wish there was greater control over the invitations you send out, with the ability to revoke them after a certain period.

When I send an invitation to someone, it results in a flood of emails sent directly from Viewflip to the user (feels like spam). This might not be something I want my customer or the person I’m trying to assist to experience.

We’ve also encountered issues where the Viewflip domain gets blocked by a company’s firewall filter. Unfortunately, when that happens, we have no way to proceed. I would prefer to be able to provide a direct executable link to the user, but the program’s setup follows a different approach.

So, for me, this wasn’t an ideal solution, but it might work well for other scenarios.

Thank you for your detailed feedback, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, even though we understand viewflip didn't quite meet your specific needs.

We're sorry to hear that you rated us with only 2 out of 5 stars based on this feedback, as we feel this might be a bit disproportionate given the points you raised, which we are actively working on or have solutions for.

Let's address your points:

1. Control over Invitations & Revocation:
You're right, greater control over sent invitations is important. You can actually find an overview of all invitations you've sent in your settings under "Refferal" as well as the Workspace Section "User Management" for such users you have assigned to your workspace initially. Here, you can see who has been invited. Currently, there isn't a direct "revoke" button. However, if you need to resend an invitation, simply entering the email address again in the "Invite" section or "User Management" will re-trigger the invitation process. We are constantly evaluating how to improve invitation management.

2. "Flood of emails" / Spam Concerns:
We understand your concern about multiple emails being sent to your customers or those you're assisting. This is something users can control. Every account has the option to disable "Reminder" emails in their personal settings. If this checkbox is unchecked, users will not receive the classic "funnel" or tip emails from viewflip, which should address the "spam" feeling. As we are currently considering how to make inviting other users more easier, e.g. without the need to enter an email address, we will also consider the option of being able to set the email flood directly when sending the invitation.

3. Domain Blocking & Direct Executable Link:
We acknowledge that domain blocking by company firewalls can be a significant hurdle, and we're sorry you've encountered this. It's a challenge we are constantly working to mitigate. Regarding your wish for a direct executable link, similar to what you might find in other remote support tools, this is indeed a different approach to viewflip's core design. viewflip was originally conceived as a *collaboration tool* for quick and interactive teamwork, not as a direct alternative to existing remote control solutions that focus solely on unattended access or quick, single-use executables. However, we are actively discussing internally how we can implement a "session link" feature to make spontaneous support and simpler access easier for users like you.

We truly value your input. While viewflip might not have been an ideal solution for your specific freelancing scenario, your feedback is crucial for our ongoing development and helps us understand the diverse needs of our users.

Thanks again for sharing!
