bought codes on account that already registered. Is it possible to do this with your help? It'd be painful if I have to abandon the original account and use the code on a new one, besides there's no "delete this account" function could be found...would you provide one for the safety sake, if we really need to delete everything in an account?

A: Hi there,

First of all, the AppSumo deal is only available as a special introductory deal for those completely new to Viima, so that's why you can't use an account that already exists to claim the offer. What makes the situation challenging are the upgrade/downgrade/refunds that you can do via AppSumo. These will not work unless the registration is done directly within AppSumo, and that's why we unfortunately can't help address the issue manually.

However, you can add your primary email address as an organization admin to the account that you registered via AppSumo, and even change the account name (and URL if you contact our support) so that you can hopefully make the situation work.

It's true that we don't currently have a "delete account" feature, as these requests have been very infrequent so far. However, our support is happy to help you delete your account and all related data should you ever wish to do so.

I wrote to support to ask for my account to be completely deleted, but so far I've just "closed" it and my account is still there.

To me, "delete account" means a lot because it represents basic control over the user's own data. Of course, this may not happen very often, but it is necessary. This is also my final assessment if I am willing to pay for an online service in the long run.

Usually every request is completed within 24 hours, but at the moment we have quite a large load in support as we're closing in on the final days of the AppSumo campaign so we have some backlog.
