You don't need this tool at all... but you probably still need it. Wait, what? This review gets weird but is worth it if you're considering Viima.

I grabbed Tier 2 because I noticed that the "Innovation System" course came with it, even though it was triple the price of Tier 1 when I bought. It didn't hurt that the Tier upgrade got me Unlimited boards.

If you're after Tier 1, I have to say you can accomplish "enough" with any of the other feedback tools out there, or really even with surveys. Yes, the UI on this tool is extremely innovative (and reports, more on that later), but the goal is all about capturing feedback for innovation and ideas. Tier 1 just doesn't really make any sense unless it sounds cool and you've got money to spend.

Side note: Viima isn't the best tool for public feedback. No CNAME unless you get their top recurring paid plan. Each time an anonymous user follows your link and goes to give you feedback, they're getting the product tutorial, tons of Viima branding, and the like.

Tier 2 is best suited to those within an organization that are going to "centralize their decentralization" (yeah, I said it) of idea submission and feedback. This tool is for those who are central to the ideation process, but want to give control (or tap the wisdom of) your employees, focus groups, alpha/beta testers, etc. The user allocation will also make a lot more sense, and you'll be happy you have unlimited boards. Sure, maybe you'll run the occasional public feedback board, but probably not. You'll love using this over competitors' tools because it really shines with analytics: filter or see reports on ideas by newest, trending, most liked, most activity, etc.

The strangest part is that even though I can recommend Tier 2 for the above reasons, it's not why I bought into this project at all.

I grabbed Tier 2 because the Innovation System course was included, and that's 7+ hours of CE I can use in my "day job" (YMMV, but for me it will count). Viima isn't so much a SaaS tool as they are an Idea Management and Innovation masterclass with a proprietary tool they've built to drive the point home. Check their YouTube, you'll see... Jesse is about to become your best friend in Innovation. You get that in much more detail in the Innovation System (just did 1 hour of it before reviewing, it's very legit in its content and delivery).

If you only want public feedback, get LoopedIn.
If you only want idea iapping? Use ContextMinds.

Get Viima Tier 2 if you're looking to learn how to drive innovation in your business and have a tool that conveniently starts you on the process. Then commit to spend ample amounts of time on their YouTube channel and in the Innovation System class. Jesse, who I never heard of before today, might just change the trajectory of your business.
