I really wanted to like this but after more than a month of trying to make it work, it's not yet ready for prime time. Previous reviews said that they did not hear back from support. That was NOT my experience. Support does respond when I write, but sometimes they haven't read the thread and ask me to repeat myself. Or once I was getting a 404 and they wanted a video... I also wish it was a bit faster, it's usually at least 24 hours, sometimes more. The latest is still waiting for a reponse after 3 days.
My speakers can't fill out their profiles. I invited people using the marketplace but it doesn't record who I invited - now two of the invited people are in speakers - does that mean they said yes? I have no idea.
I struggled to get different parts to turn on and work and now after reading other reviews of severe glitches during the actual summits, I'm glad to have advance warning now.
I waited too long to return this because I'd heard great things. So no refund, which is fine, maybe for next year's summit it will work. I have high hopes. I know the owner is long-known in the field and has some great ideas.
I was excited to bag an LTD, but it turned out to be a short-lived joy, unfortunately. The software sounded comprehensive. I was eager to use VSS for my ongoing multi-day workshops. (And eventually, to start recommending this software to my Business Mentees and my JV partners for their summits)
But, once I got to actually using VSS, I met with a dead end within no time 💔
Not only the software seemed glitchy, but it was shocking to see that in spite of my multiple attempts to reach out to the support team, I got ZERO RESPONSE, ZERO SUPPORT.
I suspected my emails were not reaching them, so I even attempted to get in touch with them over social media. And yes, you guessed right - dead end.
After weeks of this painful process, and getting zero support, I've come to the conclusion that this was a bad investment 🤦♀️
So thought of writing a review to share my side of the story. (I rarely share negative reviews)

I'm sure there are areas in the software that can be improved and we are working on those continously as will every platform need to do this.
As per reaching out via social, it is stated on all of our communications that social is not monitored for support tickets, and those tickets must go through the appropriate support channel (I.e....
I've been particularly touched by Mark's emails and his story so i took the time to follow the links he gave and read more about virtual summits. Quite frankly, this is one of the top 5 BEST marketing ideas that i came across in the last 10 years (i've seen MANY ...) and it's beautifully implemented with VSS !

2 stars because the IDEA is AMAZING... in theory. We spent all this time setting up the summit software, and it kept crashing (entire site was down and speakers couldn't access, attendees couldn't sign up at times). On top of that, multiple speakers had issues uploading AND the software sent out an email 5 days early saying "THE SUMMIT IS TODAY!" when we never set it up to do that - and now my inbox is full of "wait, I thought the summit was this weekend!" and it's taking so much more time. In addition, people struggled signing up to be affiliates! What a mess. I was so excited to try this out and now it's just 100x more work for me.

Checking with the development team we don't appear to have had any "site crashing" or software downage. We also didn't have any other users report the site being down.
The emails are set to go out based on the date that is set and selected in the "email section". It is possible...
gave up! couldn't even redeem the 8 codes. Had my account deleted to start again and still unsucessful. I've bought many appsumo products before. If redeeming the codes is so complicated can't imagine the software. will be requesting a refund
