Q: IPv6 Issue
I'm having the same problem as Abland with IPv6. Everytime I visit my site I show up as a new visitor with a different IPv6 address that I have to block. Ive had to stop using Visitor Tracking because it too. I don't have time to block myself every day and I can't trust the accuracy of data for other visitors. Unfortunately this has resulted in a bad reputation for VT in the community. When people ask for a good private analytics software, it's never recommended bc the few times it was in the past it got immediately shot down by current users for being unreliable. I really hope you get this fixed because I'd love to be able to use and recommend it again.

Mar 12, 2025A: I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We absolutely understand how frustrating it can be to deal with constantly changing IPv6 addresses, and we’re looking into ways to improve handling this scenario.
We recently introduced a wildcard IP blocking feature that works well for dynamic IPv4 addresses, and we're evaluating how to best implement a similar approach for IPv6, which is a bit trickier due to its structure. If you notice a pattern in your IPv6 addresses, you might be able to use the wildcard feature to help with blocking.
As for the reputation concern, we know that no software is perfect, but we’re always working to improve Visitor Tracking based on user feedback. Thousands of businesses rely on it daily, and we’re committed to making it as reliable and useful as possible.
Thanks again for your input, and I hope we can get this issue resolved for you soon.
