Q: Request for clarification regarding contractual obligations for X access under AppSumo deal terms
Good morning. I have 2 Vista Social AppSumo accounts: 1 Tier 3 and 1 Tier 4. Your AppSumo listing promised “All current and future social networks” and “All future Custom AppSumo Plan updates.”
Based on that wording, buyers reasonably understood that X would be included. Charging existing AppSumo customers extra for X appears inconsistent with the deal as advertised.
I understand that X’s API/pricing may have changed, but vendor-side cost increases do not alter the terms presented to buyers at the time of purchase. Consumer protection principles generally require advertised offers to be honored as represented.
Please confirm how you intend to resolve this in a manner consistent with the original offer and applicable consumer protection standards.
