I initially believed VistaCreate would be a genuine alternative to Canva, offering similar features and ease of use. However, as I started experimenting with VistaCreate, I quickly realized its limitations. The quality of video downloads was particularly disappointing, rendering them unusable for any practical application. When I attempted to create GIFs from images, the situation worsened, as the output was painfully eye-straining.

On a positive note, VistaCreate is quite adequate for creating static images and simple animations. It offers numerous templates and possibilities in these areas, which are genuinely commendable. The masking function is particularly impressive, and the background remover is both straightforward and highly effective.

Of course, the tool is plagued with more than enough bugs, which can be quite frustrating. Anyone expecting it to be a full-fledged Canva alternative will be sorely disappointed. So, why did I still rate it three stars? It's because of the extensive library of backgrounds and free images that make it useful for static projects.

However, when it comes to video and GIF and Image quality, I can only advise against using VistaCreate. For those looking to animate object groups or seeking slide transitions like morph transitions, they will find themselves out of luck here as well. I have to agree with many other reviews that since VistaCreate was taken over by Vistaprint from Crello, not much has changed in terms of improvement.

Update: Images are also only available for download in poor quality. You put in the effort and are shocked to find that images are only available for download in half HD (720p) resolution, practically guaranteeing eye strain. Sorry, but that's embarrassing... it gives the impression that VistaCreate is afraid that customers might exploit high-resolution downloads. Nope. I think my refund is assured if VistaCreate doesn't at least offer Full HD in all respects here—for created images and videos.

Therefore, I'm generally deducting another star.

In conclusion, you get 60 days to freely experiment with the tool. Take advantage of this trial period and form your own opinion. Whether I decide to keep using it or request a refund remains to be seen, as I have yet to explore all its features fully.

Update 2: It is said that improvements are constantly being made and new things are being worked on. However, day by day, the bugs seem to be becoming more intrusive. Real progress and accurate answers to questions seem to be deliberately obscured, so as to avoid any commitments.

It's a shame, they could do more with VistaCreate if the owners took a look beyond their immediate surroundings and focused more on customer wishes, trends, and commitments.

P.S. Simple little changes that any average programmer could make are being neglected. And finally, a word: I cannot sow doubt; that is something everyone can only do for themselves. Simple psychology!

And please... all 5-star reviews are more based on emotions rather than hard facts. A true Canva alternative? Please?!! The truth is probably more in the 2 to 3-star range. My final 1-star rating comes from the lack of response to complaints, perhaps negative statements, a lack of commitment, the constant mention that something will be improved while nothing happens, it only gets worse, and the delays and talk about things that do not come to fruition.

Recommendation for purchase: For those who need to quickly create a simple, unexciting, and not very engaging graphic or simple, non-converting animated graphic templates, who don’t place value on high quality and don’t like subscriptions, they should definitely buy VistaCreate. For this, 10 out of 5 points ;)
