I get that the "lifetime" doesn't mean forever but barely 1 year??

Another deal shut down in less than a year. I no longer buy most new startups, happens with more frequency as companies are using AS as a 1st round startup fundraiser to see if they can make it. We are mostly a crowdfunding platform for startups.

I purchased 3 codes and now they are closed,
very disappointing. It was a great tool

They offer a life time deal. It's very easy to offer a life time deal when the life is less than a year. I redeem the offer nine months ago. They are going to shut down their service in one month. I plan to use it for a Ecommerce project that starts on march of the next year.

I want a full refund. That's all.

Vistag closing down as not viable with cashflow problems. Great idea well executed, but ongoing optimizations costs meant they bled cash and couldn't sustain the business model.

Dear appsumo, as a platform for new and emerging apps and an entrepreneur workspace it would be great if you could interview and collate the experiences of the entrepreneurs who fell by the wayside. What went wrong?
What Lessons could others learn to not repeat the same mistakes?
What would the entrepreneur have done differently?

This would add some real value to the community and help steer a few of the other sailors in the sea of uncertainty around business and products etc.

It would also assist the appsumo community as there would be more longevity on the Lifetime deals.
