Q: Because (almost) everything is going to be mobile, I wondered how this will work....
š Then I read:
WHAT ABOUT MOBILE?
No, as of now Visual Inspector works in Chrome desktop only. But, just between you & me, we are working on something similar. Stay tuned!!
Will this be included and when do you expect this to launch?
Also, just to clarify...
I can make changes on your product to my website and then export a CSS code that I can add to my existing site and get the finishing touches done in seconds?
Hey Randy, I like how subtly you tried to promote your project here.. Well played.. š
I have a NEWs for you:
**VISUAL INSPECTOR DOES SUPPORT MOBILE **
Here's how:
You can use on-site installation - https://www.canvasflip.com/visual-inspector/on-site/ and make changes, add comments right from mobile.
[Recommended] OR, switch to mobile layout from Desktop Chrome Browser, use Visual Inspector to make changes.
Also a free tip from a make to another one, users largely consume web on mobile but build on Web.
Good luck with your project, would love to see it once it goes live ( and, feel free to reach for any help.) š
Cheers!
Vipul, please read your own website before trying to give a "smart" answer: Randy did not promote his own project, he copied and pasted text from your own website. And that text is not what I (and Randy) want to read...
Like Randy I quote from F.A.Q: "Does it work for mobile apps: No, as of now Visual Inspector works in Chrome desktop only. But, just between you & me, we are working on something similar. Stay tuned!!".
From the FAQ it looks like your team is currently working on something similar that will support mobile development (not meaning the workarounds you described) - contradictory with your remark on development for mobile on desktop. Unfortunately that "something similar" has not been included in AppSumo deal.
Oops, sorry - I got carried away. So many questions to answer, you know.
We are trying to optimize on-site installation for mobile websites but that is taking longer than usual at the moment.
And, of course it'll be included in the AS deal.. :)
Hey @Randy, sorry for the confusion.
Mobile support should be there by mid this year.
This will work exactly same as you described, make changes to website > grab CSS > paste it to your website.
Hope this helps. Feel free to get in touch if you need further assistance.
No worries :) I understand the overwhelm we Sumo-lings bring with the launch of a deal... must be stressful!
Is there any roadmap? I would love to see where you intend to take the platform and service we are offered with this deal.
