I agree (I lost a bunch on Meiro which has become useless) but in the end I see Appsumo for what it is. We're effectively seed investors who get access to the product
In the case of Vivomeetings there were a few signs that thankfully kept me clear. The owner operated under a pseudonym with no LinkedIn profile and was extremely arrogant when questioned. So I got a stayed away.

Yes, AppSumo is smoke and mirrors when they say they are doing everything possible to stop this avalanche of failures on their platform. They will continue like they are until the business model is no longer viable. Good call on staying away from Vivomeetings. I questioned the owner about viability and their generous pricing but was lied to. Live and learn.
