Bye bye Loom and Sendspark
I use tools like this almost every day to help my clients.
Rather than guiding them over the phone or having a zoom meeting to show them how to use a tool or update their site, I record myself doing the tasks I want to teach them.
The best is Loom. Simple, fast, intuitive.
Few weeks ago, i switched to Sendspark because the tool worked quite well, the creator was nice and it was economically more interesting than Loom.
But now, this newcomer is really greater.
I tested the recording via the Mac application and it works great except for one or two things that could be improved.
What I like:
- Very easy to use
- No recording limits!!!
- Generous number of users
- Ability to create folders to store videos
- Allows you to share directly on social media
- Allows you to output embedded code (perfect to put in my nimbus notes)
What could be improved:
- Ability to choose which screen to record. I'm in dual-screen and the tool doesn't let me choose which screen I want to record. This is really annoying. Perhaps it'a already possible but I can't figure out how
- We should be able to add our own design for the shares. Ideally, a different design per folder
- It should be possible to create video feeds
Objectively, given the price and the (almost) unlimited everything, it's a great deal.
Is there a roadmap to see what else is planned?
