I`m not really a fan of buying roadmaps and investing in forever beta products. So can Vmaker replace Loom for me right now?
Well, not really, at least not yet.
It´s great to have the ability again to record unlimited amount of videos without having to worry about video length. Also the recording features are pretty well thought out. Easy access to the Marker and recording menu. Also the ability to directly discard the recording if you messed up the intro yet again are great. So making the video production side of the coin seems to be well thought through.
The "client facing" side however needs more polish in order to make it usable for an Agency Setting. The very prominent branding on video pages were toned down already, which signals that the team is eager to listen to complains/suggestions by the community.
As soon as more customizing options are available for the video page, this will truly be a valid loom alternative, at least for my usecase.
The support is also nice and the company seems to be established and successful with another product. So this has the potential to grow to a solid LTD investment.
