It works perfectly in my app for translating English text into German, French or Italian.
As we need to support the national languages here in Switzerland—German, French, and Italian—I was keen to see how VocalLab could be used to output text in these three national languages within my app. That works perfectly. I can use the API to interact with VocalLab, and retrieve the speaker, the quality settings, and the language. In addition, I was able to integrate it directly into my app so that I'm notified of how many minutes I've used and how much time I still have available with VocalApp for output. That way I always have control over where I stand with the 400 minutes a month. It also works so that my app in Lovable can increase or decrease the speech rate. It takes a few seconds for VocalLab, or rather the API, to output a section of speech. That is why I don't generate the speech or output the entire text all at once, but rather do it section by section.
We're super happy, it works tip-top, and we hope Vocallab keeps it up.

I love how deep you've gone — pulling the speaker, quality settings and language, tracking your minutes right inside your app, and driving the speech rate from Lovable. That's the API working exactly as intended, and genuinely inspiring to see someone use it that thoroughly.
On the "few seconds per section" — your section-by-section approach is smart, and lower-latency generation is something we're actively working on, so that should keep getting snappier over time.
