At First I was in love...but..

At first, I was in love with this. The timing was perfect. I had a launch for a course to do it, and I was hosting the video on YT embed in a page builder.

If you build funnels you know people will leave the landing page to watch it on youtube, even if the page builder hides the link and everything. So this was the perfect solution.

I started to use vooPlayer and the video was hosted on YouTube. We track all the funnels with a tool designed for that, and also Hotjar. I noticed people were dropping the webinar after a couple minutes. Is this common? Yes, people will leave, but then I went to watch EVERY RECORDING from Hotjar. I was really pissed off, no other words because I saw the video was disappearing on the middle of the recording, and people even tried to reload the page, but of course, this will dramatically impact the rates, people will leave the page, especially because our targeting is older people.

I talked with support using the chat tool, and they said nothing was wrong. I tried again. And today I notice the video is not even loading, it loads for a while and then I get an error message, with an X in the middle of the video, saying something like "You have the incorrect type of media"..it's loading from YouTube, so I don't know how this is possible. Its clearly a bug.

I went to talk with support, but the Chat support tool is not available anymore. You need to open a ticket, provide a lot of info (they ask for your username, email, etc..it's opening within the bloody backend, why I need to input all this?) Anyway, the chat support doesn't exist anymore, at least is not available.

If you work with funnel building and use the videos for product launches, this is worrying, because if the video break during the middle of a campaign, and you can't talk with support live, this can ruin a million dollar campaign.

I'll host the videos on Vimeo and wait for a solution.

it sounds like you are using the “beta” optimization embed code. Have you tried turning that off? The beta optimization code works like 99% of the times on various platforms but for the we have a message over the Beta code that before using it you should double check things on your end. That is why we are calling it beta. :) in the unlikely event that something appears weird you should use the legacy embed code and it should be good to go.

Please try that.
