Q: GDPR compliant?
Hi, I'm based in Germany and interested in using Vzy for a website targeting EU users. Since Vzy is a US-based company and not listed under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, do you offer Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) to ensure GDPR compliance? If so, where can I access and review these documents?
Vzy
Edited Apr 30, 2025A: Thanks for your interest. You can review our legal terms and policies, including compliance details, at https://vzy.co/legal/terms.
Thanks for your reply. I couldn’t find any info on SCCs or a DPA on your legal page. Since Vzy is US-based and not listed under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, can you confirm if you provide a GDPR-compliant DPA and rely on SCCs for EU data transfers? If so, where can I review/sign them?
Thanks for the follow-up. We currently do not yet provide a downloadable GDPR-compliant DPA or SCC agreement.
Thanks for the update. As EU-based user, we can’t legally use Vzy if personal data like visitor IPs is sent to US infrastructure or accessible by US staff. It’s a great product, but GDPR compliance is essential for EU users.
Thanks for your thoughtful feedback. You're absolutely right — GDPR compliance is essential, especially for EU-based users. We understand the importance of SCCs and DPAs and are actively evaluating how best to support these requirements in the future. While we do not yet offer downloadable GDPR-compliant documents, we’re taking this seriously and hope to have updates soon.
I would instantly buy Tier 4 if it would be GDPR compliant. So please come back when you are!
