Warpindex's Usage of Google's Indexing API is a Flagrant Violation of Google's Terms

Google's Indexing API has very clear usage rules:

"The Indexing API can only be used to crawl pages with either JobPosting or BroadcastEvent embedded in a VideoObject."

Source: https://developers.google.com/search/apis/indexing-api/v3/quickstart

To use Warpindex, you need to add the service as an owner to your Google Search Console account. Warpindex then uses the Indexing API in a prohibited manner:

"Warpindex {...] works by using our own web crawlers and certain Google tools like the Search Console and Indexing API.

[...]

Now, Google recommends using the Indexing API mainly for specific types of content like job postings or events, but it can handle other pages too, as long as there aren't any technical SEO issues. We've been using it for a while now without any problems." Source: https://help.warpindex.com/en/articles/21-how-does-warpindex-work-is-this-magic

Warpindex is lying to users. Google EXPLICITLY PROHIBITS using the Indexing API for any purpose except indexing the two types of listings shared above.

Multiple users have asked Shirin, the founder, to explain this contradiction in the Questions section. She has ignored these questions for days and cannot give a satisfactory answer. The Indexing API is not meant to be used the way Warpindex uses it.

I bought Tier 5 and will be refunding my purchase as soon as I submit this review. Use this tool at your own risk.

November 4, 2024 update:

Shirin responded to my review the same day (September 27, 2024) and deleted it minutes later. I only know this because AppSumo notified me that the review had been responded to. Because all the contents of the response had been deleted, it didn't show publicly that a response had been made.

Three weeks later, Shirin edited the review with the current reply. It appeared out of nowhere as if it were the original reply, which it wasn't, and I believe that was intentional.

Everything in Shirin's response is untrue.

1: Shirin and her team did not respond to multiple users asking how WarpIndex was able to use Google's Indexing API. A simple review of the questions will show that users continue to ask questions with no response. This is on par with the lack of response from Warpindex's customer support.

2: Shrin's response that Warpindex doesn't use the "API to crawl your pages" is irony at its finest. Shirin believes that the statement "The Indexing API can only be used to crawl pages with either JobPosting or BroadcastEvent embedded in a VideoObject" is my statement when, in fact, it's a word-for-word quote from Google. For the record, as stated in the review and the original product listing, Warpindex does claim to use Google's Indexing API in exactly that manner, which violates Google's rules.

3: Shirin claims she clarified all this in a chat with me. I have never chatted with Shirin or communicated with her outside of AppSumo. Unfortunately, many AppSumo members have tried to open support tickets and have gotten no responses from Shirin or the Warpindex team.

4: Lastly, Shirin claims I "mislead" users after using WarpIndex to index 1000s of my own pages. The pages in question were already indexed in Google Search Console due to years of best practices, accurate sitemaps, and the SEO solutions used on the website. Warpindex could not complete a futile attempt at indexing pages already in GSC. Even though I waited three or four days, the indexing status never reached 100 percent after the website was connected.

Hi! We havent ignored any question, you can see that this question was asked quite a few times and I have been answering those questions.
We do not use the API to crawl your pages (as you refer to "The Indexing API can only be used to crawl pages ..."), rather we are an indexing platform and not a crawling platform. I clarified you this on our chat as well.
So disappointing to see you mislead users after getting 1000s of your own pages indexed with us.
