Q: How is it different from other watermark apps?
Hi! I'm just wondering how is Watermarkup different than other watermark apps? My main concern is the counterfeiters removing the watermarks after copying off my designs.
Can this Watermarkup app prevents that (watermark removal)?
Can the watermark be embedded like hidden where counterfeiters cannot see or find but only the designers can see/find as proofs in case of stolen images?
Thank you for your time to read and answering my questions soon!

Nov 2, 2024A: Hello BritainFrog,
Yes, I will tell you the differences first:
- If you are familiar with using the app and your workflow, you can add a watermark/text/logo/image object to 250 - 400 photos in less than 30 minutes, not all watermark apps out there can do that.
- We have tiled mode for both text and image objects. The tiled mode is that the text/logo/image object is automatically 'spread' across the entire photo. You can resize, rotate, move the logo/text/image object, or change its properties and you will see that the changes will be applied automatically to 'nearby objects' and to all other photos at the same time. Not all watermark apps out there can do that.
- You can do unlimited uploads a day. Let's say that you want to watermark 1000 photos a day, it is possible with Watermarkup, and not all watermark apps out there can do that.
- You can upload your own image objects like icons, emojis, designs to add to your photos (using the Logo upload). You can group watermarks or image objects together, move them, and position them as desired.
- You can rotate or flip the entire scene as you want.
- Because the photos you upload can have different sizes, the watermark/image object is scaled proportionally based on each photo size at the same time.
- If you use other free watermark apps, you will have to see advertisements. Here there are no ads at all if you use the free version.
- In this November, I will add a section that features all use cases for Watermarkup, and users will know how to leverage the tool for their best use. I will constantly add new features to Watermarkup. I also have additional plans to transform Watermarkup into a bigger tool for image editing, it will not just be a watermark app anymore, and I am doing that.
- And the last thing is that this is a lifetime deal, some watermark apps out there still require a monthly subscription fee.
In response to your questions, it's important to note that even if we incorporate visible text or image objects, thieves can eliminate them using AI image editing software or watermark removal applications. But many watermark removal apps don't work precisely, so they cannot remove precisely your watermarks.
One way to add hidden watermarks is to change metadata of your designs; not all people care about these data. But actually people can still change it if they want.
Currently, Watermarkup cannot help you add or change the metadata of your photos. We cannot promise that we will add it right now, but we will consider adding the feature to our roadmap.
When sharing your designs online, consider sharing only a watermarked sample or a low-resolution version. If they pay, you will share your original version with them. This will prevent other people from using your work without your permission.
Regards,
Jerry
