Q: Javascript overlay and compliance? EU Accesibility Act

Hey, looks interesting! Just had a few questions before I jump in :)
I've been reading a bit about accessibility overlays lately and saw all the stuff around AccessiBe getting that FTC fine and the lawsuits against UserWay, plus the NFB basically saying overlays don't really work for screen reader users. How does WebAbility handle that? Like, is the approach technically different, or how would you explain it to someone who's worried about that side of things?
Also curious about the EU side, with the European Accessibility Act kicking in, would just installing the widget actually be enough for compliance, or is it more like a nice addition on top of a site that's already been made accessible properly?
Not trying to be negative, genuinely curious because the lifetime deal is tempting but I want to understand what I'm getting :) thanks!
