Look elsewhere if you're serious about web security
We've been using Webarx for over two months now as we have been experiencing more security issues than usual since COVID and the upcoming elections.
We really like the idea of having security for all of my websites centralized on one dashboard and the appsumo deal was incredible so installed the Webarx plugin on 10 of our sites.
Unless Oliver, the CEO, is having other people speak as him, it appears that he answers all the email support and chat support questions, which sounds unbelievable. That said, the response time is not very good with both emails and chat inquiries taking up to several days for even a basic response.
We have had several sites hacked despite having the security installed and software kept up to date. We've tried upgrading to their malware removal service which is also extremely well priced compared to their competition. Upgrading turned out to not be possible as Oliver or whoever is answering the support emails stopped communicating. Several requests to upgrade the service where sent via email and... crickets.
All said and done, we have decided to discontinue Webarx. The hassle and unreliability do not make up for the budget pricing.
We purchased a plan with Sucuri and although it is much more expensive, their responsiveness, expertise, and overall care for the quality of work has been a breath of fresh air during this stressful time dealing with hackers who have too much time on their hands.
Your mileage may vary but Webarx has not been a good experience.
