Q: All limits (but particularly MAU limits) are extremely low and make it unviable to even launch MVP projects through Webcat.

Any chance the limits can be revisited?

A: Hi Sumo-ling

Thanks a lot for all of your given feedback. We really appreciate it.

And yes, you are definitely a heavy-hitter when it comes to AppSumo deals, so clearly you can spot a good deal when you see one.

We are glad to hear that “on paper” the product seems mind blowing, now we just need to prove it which is the hard part.

About the pooling of resources it is not that we don’t want to, but that it takes some dev work on our part to see how we would go about doing that just for AppSumo customers, so we are looking at our options. Thanks again for your suggestion to do it for Tier5 + honest review.

We are going to be on AppSumo for 60 days so we’ll do our best to improve on several things/issues that have come up.

As you’ve probably already read we’ve recently come out of beta, and this is our formal splash into the world community of devs, entrepreneurs, agencies and designers. We’ve put our helmets and mouthguards on and are ready to take some punches, we just hope that the product can inspire and show where we are heading and not disappoint because we know we've set the expectations high.

Regardless if you purchase the deal or not, thanks a lot for your valuable comments and insights.

Best,

AJ

Hi! Thanks for your feed-back.

It is not as if you cannot have/support as many MAU’s as you’d like. The current limits are what is included in the plan, but you can exceed any of the limits at any time.

In the case of MAU, the additional cost per 1,000 additional MAU’s would be $9/month

Here you can find our full pricing table https://webcat.app/pricing/table

And here a project price calculator https://webcat.app/pricing/calculator

We are constantly improving our limits/costs so yes, it would be possible to revisit the limits if the sentiment is that they are too low. Out of curiosity, what would be an acceptable MAU limit for you?

Best,

AJ

My suggestion regarding the MAU limit would be to offer a collective limit across all apps as, for example, some projects may need 20k MAUs while others may need only 100. This will allow the agencies to distribute the total MAUs amongst apps as needed.

Thank you for your suggestion deejay.shani,

I'll talk to the tech-team and we'll se what we can do about that but, it makes sense what you are proposing.

We'll get back to you on that one ;-)

Thank you Alvaro for being so considerate. Founders that are Good listeners are always the trustworthy ones. I'm sure you will break all previous AppSumo records with the product that you developed, and with your attitude towards the feedback :D Wish you best of luck for the venture :)

I would make pooled resources contingent on an honest review and tier5 if I were you.

Your product as I see it on paper looks mind blowing, one of the best deals on Appsumo ever, and you can see I’ve got quite a few under my belt. However it takes a lot of time and mental bandwidth commitment to use it properly, and your documentation is rather thin right now (end to end video tutorials are what users need for a low code tool).

Also people should want to buy it even if they don’t have an immediate use case for it — if they merely have ambitions to build a complexish app. With such incentivize people on the fence will be compelled to take the plunge in your documentation and give you back some love. It’s easier to justify doing so with pooled resources so we can have at least one app that’s set for a long runway within webcat before hitting resource usage constraints.

That might be costlier to you in resource consumption if any of the ltd buyers’ apps get really popular. But it would also mean you’d have great showcases to brag of.

So I really hope you consider it!
