I’m AJ co-founder and CEO of Webcat 🐈 and we are thrilled to have you here. After many years as an entrepreneur leading a team of developers, designers, consultants and data scientist, I came to the realization that I needed a tool that could allow my business to be scalable, and a platform that we could use so that we didn’t have to start any new project from scratch. I also needed a web tool that would not only allow, but encourage collaborative work between developers and designers a product that wouldn’t constrain advance developers by preventing them to code directly into it and at the same time would be easy enough for anyone without coding skill to use and learn 🤓.

Enter Daniel, our CTO and the technical brain and behind Webcat. Daniel had an idea so complex in its nature that just knowing where to start was a challenge on its own. As an Artist 🧑‍🎨 and self-taught programmer, Daniel was fed-up with having to do the same repetitive task every single time for every single project; design the architecture and data structure, set-up the servers and connect different services while using various programs to design, code, test and deploy the websites and business application he was building.

My business/client needs, and Daniel’s challenges, were the perfect match for each other. 3 years ago, Webcat was born. We built the platform to be flexible and extensible by default. We don’t impose our opinions about how you should build an e-commerce or digital app. Flexibility is everything, so you can always run custom code on the frontend and on the backend 🧑‍💻. Webcat is also real-time by default, which means that you can build real-time apps like chats very easily.

Webcat can be used to build most kinds of apps from e-commerce and business websites, to CRMs and dashboards. Webcat provides the base utility toolkit so you don’t need to create accounts in different services just to provide your basic functionality. We provide authentication, database, server-less functions, e-commerce integrations, custom domain hosting and app export, all from an intuitive, collaborative interface 👬. We have had customers implement anything from a therapy app with p2p call integration, a website for a daily newsletter business with a referral program, an e-commerce for a 3D printing company with 3D file visualization, to a custom quote generator for a home cleaning company.
