Q: Clarify seats and page comparison

Hi! Could you clarify what exactly a "seat" means? If I use WebDiff Tier 1 on both my laptop and desktop, does that count as "two seats?" Or is it only considered two seats if two different users with separate email addresses are using it?

Also, I’m a bit confused about how the page comparison works. Do I need to enter the link to my homepage and the link to the homepage of my staging site, for example? Thanks in advance!

A: Hello! Thank you for your interest in WebDiff 😁 If you install WebDiff on two separate computers, this counts as 2 seats, so you'd need at least Tier 2.

With WebDiff, you can perform two types of comparisons: between two environments (which is the example you gave, for example, between your production and staging websites) or before and after an update on the same environment. You can find a complete description here: https://docs.webdiff.app/types-of-comparison.html

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us! 😁
