Q: How extensive can a comparison be?

Multiple questions in one but here are my main questions:
Will WebDiff identify images that don't display (missing images)?
Will it identify changes in behavior of sliders or carousels, accordions or tabs?
Will it identify visual changes resulting in changes outside the site such as browser updates?
Will it find malicious code injection, pages, files, images, popups in the event of a site being hacked?
Will it monitor WordPress sites you don't have access to log in to?

A: Hi! Thank you for your interest in WebDiff 😁

Regarding your questions:

- Yes, it's possible to identify images that aren't displayed using visual comparison.
- Visual comparison can't verify behavior changes (e.g., animations or transitions) because it's a static comparison performed on snapshots.
- The comparison is performed using a recent version of Chrome, so any unusual behavior on other browsers or versions can't be identified.
- By comparing the source code and network requests, you can identify even the slightest changes in both the page's HTML and the scripts loaded by the page.
- WebDiff works without requiring you to log in to the site being compared because it uses completely public information.
