Q: I need to integrate Google Search Console to fetch performance metrics and Google Analytics to fetch Sessions, Pageviews, etc...

I couldn't found the way out. Is it possible to do so? If yes, please explain the steps.

A: Dear Sumo-ling,

There is no option to connect Google Search Console to the Website Auditor, sorry.
All performance metrics are provided after scanning your website by our tool.

To connect your Google Analytics to monitor the traffic, please refer to Preferences > Google Analytics Account > click to enter Account Settings or create a Google Analytics account.

Got it. How reasonable it is to not considering GSC errors in to account while doing website audit?

Also, tool is only able to fetch last 30 days GA data, right?

GSC API, I don't think so is available!

Are you planning to add this sometime before 2023 ends?

Dear Sumo-ling,

Website Auditor would provide you the results for possible technical errors like issues with redirects, robots.txt, indexation, or crawl.

Performance metrics (like clicks, impressions, position, CTR) are monitored with a focus on keywords, and we have a separate tool for that - Rank Tracker - which is designed for keyword monitoring and allows connecting to your Google Search Console account.

In regards to Google Analytics, yes - the software provided the last 30 days' data.

We are not yet planning to add Google Search Console integration to Website Auditor, but I will escalate your feedback to the engineering team, thank you!

So, what do you mean by mentioning Google Search Console in the integration section above?

The tool gives mediocre information without integrating GSC, GSC API, GA full (30 days data for few metrics is too small).

What about GSC errors like "Crawled - currently not indexed", "Discovered - currently not indexed", "Duplicate without user-selected canonical", "Google selected canonical is different than the user selected canonical", "Alternate page with different canonical tag", etc... How such GSC errors can be discovered and addressed without its integration?

If you can't make it anytime soon then I am not gonna use it.

Hey again,

Thank you for clarifying your concern and apologies for the confusion in the available integrations list.
The performance metrics you mentioned are not currently tracked by the Website Auditor, our software is designed to allow one to analyze any website without a need to confirm ownership through Google Search Console.

So you can check technical factors for any chosen website (of your clients or competitors) to tailor your optimization strategy with Website Auditor, or when working with your own domain you can combine the results fetched by Website Auditor with performance metrics provided by Google Search Console.

As mentioned, adding Google Search Console integration is not within our development pipeline yet, but I will forward your comment to the engineering team.

Thank you!

By "combine", do you mean combining both tools data manually in the spreadsheet and not the Website Auditor, right?

Hey again,

Right, if you need an aggregated report from both tools, you would need to manage it externally, sorry.
