Q: A few questions

Seems like a decent solution for smaller sites that don't require much updating, although I wouldn't mind moving something over to it that can expect a little more traffic. Some questions!

- Where are your primary servers or data centers located?

- Do you use your own CDN, or is it powered by a third party like Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront, etc?

- Is content served from Canadian edge locations or just US servers? (I'm in Canada, good to know)

- Can your platform comfortably handle sites with sustained 100,000+ monthly visitors?

- Are there any soft limits or fair use thresholds on traffic? Concerned about something going viral (like if posted on reddit) and being hit with a big spike of traffic or something.

- How does WebStarts handle content caching and page load optimization?

A: Our infrastructure is built on AWS and we use AWS cloudfront. There is a 2GB/mi limit on those transfers, in the event you exceed that we’ll be looking to take you off the CDN or pay for the fair use.

It’s not a problem for a site to receive 100,000 or more unique visitors per month but it depends on the nature of activity. We reserve the right to remove anyone from our service for any reason.

Our policies are designed to help genuine activity scale while preventing forms of abuse.

Our servers are run on US clusters using best practices to deliver robust performance all over the world but prioritize the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.

Oh interesting. I'm confused why all 3 tiers indicate unlimited bandwidth but there is a limit on CDN bandwidth? I'm guessing that means non-CDN bandwidth is unlimited? With that being the case, can images be used without the CDN? Thank you for the transparent reply.

You’re never going to notice any difference. Of course your images will work.
