Q: SSL - solution
Hey all, just posting this here in case it happens to someone else.
My domain has its dns records elsewhere but I pointed my a records to the ip and the cname correctly.
However, when I tried to secure the web it kept saying that there was an issue.
Support were not too helpful to be honest and basically said we can’t help unless you change your DNS to ours.
Then they said send me the url for the help document you are referring to and when they had time they would look.
Anyways I found the solution - I host with hostverge and when they create dns records they also put in AAAA records - for ip6. Deleting those records solved the problem. Site is now secure

Jul 29, 2025A: Thanks for sharing your discovery. Obviously there are countless DNS configurations, using our DNS allows us to take ownership of issues. For example, in your case we wouldn't inherently know the record you removed was the issue or that it existed. We do our best to suggest solutions but it's not reasonable or feasible to provide support for every DNS server on the web.

Ok well I shared to help. Of course there are many configurations but the aaaa record is not a crazy config.
A word of advice. Your product is great but the way the support person answered really felt like they did not know about the document as I had to send the help link. And then to say Sorry, I didn't dig very far. And When I get the time I'll check through things really gives a bad image
