It should work on any platform where you have the possibility to add a line of JS to the page.
Q: First of all, I would like to thank you for bringing this deal to Appsumo.
I had a few deals lined up for grab (Limited budget is a sad truth of our lives, isn't it?). Then I stumbled across WTO, went through the features, and my mind was blown. Definitely worth spending even an extra $100 on Appsumo plus to get this deal. I have gone through almost all the questions and some things are not very clear to me so here I am :
1. Someone in the comments mentioned that you guys are planning on a Shopify plugin in the future. Is that correct? My only reason for buying WTO is for my upcoming Shopify project so it would be a huge plus for me.
2. I can see how the MVT works for a page, but what about a page template in a CMS? Let's say if I want to test a specific element on a product page template (a text variation, for example, or the label SALE's color, or checkout button CSS/icon), is it possible to engage a page template in Shopify or WordPress? Or do I have to set it up on individual pages? From what I have read about WTO so far, I'm guessing that this might be possible using REGEX, but it would be nice to get a confirmation from the team.
3. If I want to A/B test 2 very different home pages that I have developed in CMS, how can we do that? In WordPress, for example, we can set any page as a home page and that page displays on the @ URL (HTTP://example.com). If we A/B test 2 pages, will one of them have a different URL? (the one that I haven't set up as the home page in WordPress?)
4. Regarding the event add-ons if we have met our plan limits, will the bolt addons be one-time credits or will it be an addition towards the annual limits to our current plan?
5. If I buy 10 codes (2 full-stack accounts) is there a possibility to merge the two accounts to get 10Mil events? Thank you for being so helpful with all the queries. I can't wait to jump on board :D
It's a pleasure to bring the deal to Appsumo - the last week in particular has exceeded anything we were expecting! We do indeed provide the same technology that countless enterprises spend £100k+ per annum on.
To answer your questions as best I can (please shout if you have anything to follow-up on):
1. Shopify plugin - yes, we have this on our list of things to build. We have a lot of shopify customers right now, and the way to integrate isn't too challenging if you're familiar with their Liquid Templates. Not quite an on/off, but certainly not something that should take you more than 10 minutes with some good instructions. This should help: https://help.webtrends-optimize.com/optimize/setup-optimize/integrations-javascript-tag/installing-webtrends-optimize-into-a-shopify-store/
2. From our knowledge of Shopify, we can't send data from the page to the templates. So if you want to set up an MVT looking at several aspects of the page (like heading, button, sale label colour etc.), these would need to be made in the same way that you'd construct other tests. Broadly, this means adding some CSS or JS to alter your page to look the way you want. In the tool, you specify these changes separately (i.e. specify the button change separately to the sale label colour), and then our MVT approach will create a series of combinations that we call Experiments which will help us work out what works best when, and which combinations of things don't work so well.
3. Yes, a second URL is typically the way to go for something like this. You can make a Split Test in the Optimize UI which will allow you to redirect some users from Page A to Page B, and measure the performance on your given goal. We do the comparisons, and judge which page best achieves the goal/s.
4. If you're referring to appsumo codes that you can stack to bolt-on extra events, these are not one-off. They reclassify your lifetime plan as having broader limits each year.
5. Yes, we'll make this work out. Once you've bought the codes, instead of making a new account please reach out to us and we'll configure this manually for you, adding them to your account and increasing your allowance manually (the mechanisms you have access to are only built to match what's on sale here, but we can sort it manually).
--
I think that answers all of your questions. Do shout if there's some more detail you need from us.
4. I read in the comments that if we need more events than the full stack offers, you will offer bolt-on packages to increase the events limit for full stackers. I was wondering about those addons if they will be one-time credits or addition to our annual limits. Also, is there a possibility to know beforehand the price for additional events before the deal expires? long term costs are a deciding factor in LTD game. Thank you once again for being so patient with me :)
Q: Hello,
few questions:
1) Does Webtrends Optimize have Heatmaps?
2)Webtrends Optimize vs. TruConversion comparison? 3) Will Webtrends Optimize work on Spreadsimple?
Yes heatmaps are on the roadmap but we currently find integrating into technical partners who specialise in it normally works better. As I said, we are planning to do it internally as well
We do not have heatmaps within the product, we integrate in partners like sessioncam. TruConversion looks like a heatmap provider and not a CRO/experimentaiton/personalisation platform. I have not personally heard of spreadsimple but I cannot see why not. If you can put 1 line of javascript in the head of the site/page then it should work fine
What websites can this tool be used on? Can it be used on the follow list below? A. Shopify? B. WordPress? (does it come with a WP plugin?) C. Wix? D. Squarespace? E. Joomla? F. Magento?
Q2. Does it have the ability to create popups and test variations of those popups?
Q3. If using this tool for clients, is there an option to create a workspace so one knows which websites are for which client?
Yeah, it works on any site where you can insert a single line of javascript into the head/theme. We have clients on all of the above platforms.
Yes, you are able to create popups and also variations of them. We have a widget editor where you can use some predefined popups or advanced editor where you can create them how you want. If you are after the widget editor, we are also more than happy to create some for you (with some notice, just reach out to us)
On the separate accounts, this can be done for you. Just reach out to us and we can configure it for you
Q: Would this work on hosted services such as Kartra or Clickfunnel?

As long as you have the ability to add some code to the head of the pages/page then it will work
Cheers

Hi - Sandeep here from Optimize's product team.
