Optimistically Optimizing
OMG! That's the sort of reaction one gets to give when a $200-$250 cost per month tool is available for a one time price. People into CRO...if not the neck deep ones, even the superficial ones will realize that this is a dream deal and generally never comes by even rarely! We are talking of a tool competing with the likes of VWO & Optimizely...If you are even remotely to do anything with CRO, just get the full stack. Believe me, this will not be available anytime soon...not even by any competition. The cost of running and maintaining such state-of-the-art apps is very expensive and hence a one time pricing becomes almost impossible to be offered.
Now the review part - Used it for a couple of hours and was extremely happy with the possibilities it provided. But there's one thing that they would want to fix asap - SPEED. From registering to going arund all take time. It's not nippy the way you would expect. Atleast the VWO and Optimizely are!
And since this is CRO tool primarily used to map, measure and improve CX, wouldn't it be fair for the team to focus on giving a good CX for the users of this tool? So how could this tool improve?
1. Improve Speed
2. Definitely needs a UI rejig
3. Needs a library of experiments (like VWO)
4. Simplify naming conventions or atleast have detailed micro level videos (this is a pro tool and needs a lot of education and hand holding which users are ready to undergo)
5. Integrations are name of the game.
6. I think atleast social proofing as a service can be worked out without requesting for enabling it. There's not much of combinations in that when compared to product recommendiations which need deeper algorithms.
One thing i couldn't figure out was Heatmaps and session recordings. Is it an option here or do we need to tie-up with some outside service for this? Or use something additionally like hotjar?
But I honestly feel that this tool has immense potential. It can give the current big ones a run for their money if and only if the company management listen to their customers feedback and constantly innovate the product. Remember CRO is all about experimentation and innovation...so a tool to help achieve that needs to be driving innovation.
And of course this one deserves 10 Tacos ;-)
