I really wanted to praise the tool. I think the setup and operation is really great! I have now finished setting everything up and would now like to send my newsletters. However, when I read the information from the previous speaker in reviews (TonioLip), I get scared and anxious. Please give me some feedback - if you immediately end up on a blacklist, the tool would be completely useless ;-(
A: Hi, Thank you so much for your kind words about weMail! We're thrilled to hear you're enjoying the setup and operation of our tool.
Regarding your concerns, we take GDPR compliance very seriously and are committed to ensuring that weMail meets all necessary requirements. We understand the importance of privacy and transparency, and we continue to refine our features to align with GDPR standards.
If you have any specific questions or concerns, feel free to reach out—we’re here to provide clarity and support. Wishing you success with your newsletters!
You mentioned working towards being GDPR compliant, but do you have a timeline? I purchased a Tier 5 and a Tier 1, but I don't think I can move forward with this product if it's not compliant.
As per the GDPR rules, we have a "Delete Immediately" feature. This ensures that users can delete their data whenever needed. Additionally, we have "Delete Site" option, which places a site in a deleted state for one month. During this period, users retain the flexibility to restore the site if needed. After one month, the data is permanently removed.
So, weMail is GDPR compliant. You don't need to worry about this.
@Anower_weMailo you are oversimplifying what GDPR compliance is, to a point that makes us understand you either have no knowledge whatsoever of GDPR, or you do not intent on making the efforts to be GDPR compliant. Simply having a delete feature does not make a service GDPR compliant. This statement suggests a concerning oversimplification of GDPR requirements and could mislead customers.
Hi Rubyat, Not only are you not, GDPR compliant at the moment, but your terms of service are for the most very confusing : when a user adds their information in a form on our websites, they are redirect to your app.wemail.com site that demands a confirmation. On, that website, your terms of service claim full ownership and right to use and redistribute this info. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE NO-GO for anyone who wants to respect their users' private information, how can we be sure you are not absorbing all those emails ? Where are the guarantees you are not transfering the data outside of Europe (Singapour based company) ? Who do you share our info with ? No mention of duration for our data being kept on your servers... So there is still a lot to improve before this service becomes legitimate.
A: Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We take user privacy and compliance very seriously, and I’d like to provide clarity on the points you’ve raised.
GDPR Compliance: WeMail is actively working to maintain and enhance compliance with GDPR regulations. All user data is processed with strict adherence to privacy laws, and we are committed to transparency and security.
Terms of Service and Data Ownership: While our Terms of Service aim to outline our responsibilities, we understand how the current wording may seem unclear. Please rest assured that WeMail does not claim ownership of your data. All the information collected through your forms remains your property, and we only process it as directed by you. We do not use or redistribute this data for any purpose other than what is explicitly allowed by our users.
Data Location and Sharing: Our primary data center is located in Germany, and we do not transfer your data outside Europe without proper compliance measures, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to deliver our services.
Data Retention Policy: We understand the importance of clarity regarding data retention and are working to update our documentation to include clear timelines for how long data is kept on our servers.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion our current processes or documentation may have caused. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve both our services and communication. If there are additional concerns or specific improvements you’d like to see, please let us know—we’d be happy to address them.
Thank you for your patience as we work to make WeMail better for all users.
You need a separate Email Provider and a subscription of them to send email. We manage the process and categorize the lists of your subscribers. You have to connect to your Email provider in order to send emails. weMail actually lets you send emails via Amazon SES, SparkPost, Mailgun, or any of your favorite SMTP providers, at a very low price.
For more information, check our docs: https://getwemail.io/docs/wemail/get-started/
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! We understand that the single-site limit may not suit everyone, and we appreciate feedback like yours. Please feel free to share more of your suggestions at feedback.getwemail.io, where our team actively reviews user insights to help shape future updates. We’re committed to making weMail work better for you—thanks again for helping us improve!
Agree. FluentCRM offered unlimited contacts on 50 sites for $299 when they offered their LTD a few years ago. weMail is 200K contacts on 1 site for $699 lol. Hard pass on this product, unless they lower their pricing and raise contacts to be more aligned with AppSumo investors.
Well no real use for my little agency…. Would have been in for A basic 100+ sites tier (6) for that kind of cash… I’ll be back if it changes
Danke, Kai
Q: Useless forms
I just bought the licence, and I'm setting it up and see that the forms are terrible. - Not responsive at all. - I can't change the image in the forms. (only the background) When will this be fixed?
A: Hi Harald45, We are unfortunate for the inconvenience you may have faced and we want to address it promptly. If the email feature on your site is unresponsive or you’re facing any technical issues, don’t hesitate to contact us for immediate assistance. You can reach us through this link: https://getwemail.io/contact/. We are committed to enhancing our plugin to ensure it meets our customer's needs effectively and efficiently.
Thanks for your cooperation and feel free to reach out to us for any questions or confusion you have.
Count of Emails to sent are not mentioned in any package... Please tell me how many emails per month we can send in which package? please explain (email count) could send in all packages...
I would like to let you know that weMail doesn’t limit the number of emails you can send. The limit depends on your email gateway. For example, if your gateway allows you to send 200,000 emails, you can send that many using weMail.
This is why we don’t mention any specific limits in weMail—it’s controlled by your email gateway.
If you have more questions, feel free to ask! Thank you.
Q: Data Storage, GDPR Compliant, Integrations and Sending Services
I have a few questions below:
1. Is the data ours (on Wordpress) and if not where else is it stored. I have seen conflicting answers to this. One answer says 2 locations and on your website under Privacy it says USA. Where specifically and is this storage safe (what standards). 2. Confirm that your product is fully GDPR compliant. 3. Do you have integrations with Pabbly Connect, Activepieces etc. 4. I read several posts and you have stated flexibility of sending services offered. Actually, many Wordpress mail plugins offer the same thing (example FluentCRM, The Newsletter, Mailpoet). What makes your product unique. It could be price or features.
Data is stored on the weMail server. Currently, the weMail servers are physically hosted in Frankfurt, Germany. Currently, no. But, we have plans to be GDPR compliant soon.
Unfortunately, we don’t support Pabbly Connect or Activepieces for now. But thanks for asking. We always exploring new integration opportunities based on user feedback. weMail offers affordability, multi-site subscriber management, and seamless integration with email-sending services like Amazon SES and Mailgun.
Q: Very limited, FluentCRM free offer unlimited subscribers,
and your paid plan has limit on subscribers why? If you want to compete with the market provide unlimited subscribers and make advance features on paid plan.
We understand that unlimited subscribers would be appealing. However, to maintain reliable performance and support for all users, weMail sets limits on subscriber numbers, even in paid plans. This structure allows us to keep the platform stable, responsive, and affordable without compromising on quality.
Our priority is to offer a balance between a robust, high-performing platform and advanced features for paid users. While subscriber limits are in place, we are always exploring ways to expand our offerings and enhance user experience based on feedback like yours.
If you have more questions or additional suggestions, please feel free to reach out.
I read your previous comment, and it seems you are not a suitable alternative to FluentCRM. I am currently using FluentCRM Pro and always explore alternatives. At the moment, FluentCRM is the best option for WordPress. Many users dislike limits on subscribers, especially since we also bear the costs of sending emails. I suggest you reconsider your model.
Q: I don't understand the subscribers pricing
Where are the subscribers stored? In the WordPress database or in WeMail's database? If they're stored in the WP database, then why is there a cap on subscribers?
Additionally, weMail does not deliver emails; an email delivery service does, so subscriber-based pricing makes even less sense.
Are you simply selling the software, or are you hosting it?
The subscriber limit in weMail is because the platform stores subscribers in its own database. As a result, both the gateway and weMail have limits on the number of subscribers.
These limits help us maintain quality service and ensure the platform remains affordable and efficient for all users.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to let me know.
Is it possible to customize Woocommerce Emails as in Mailmint or would I still need a template customizer for that? I dont think it would be possible to set automations for all the woo mails without documentation of their shortcodes.
With weMail’s WooCommerce integration, you can set up email campaigns based on customer purchases, segment lists, and track order details. However, to fully customize WooCommerce transactional emails (like Mailmint offers), you may still need a separate template customizer, as weMail focuses on campaign automations and segmentation rather than customizing WooCommerce's native email templates.
A: Hi, Absolutely! If you’d like to manage your subscribers directly through your Elementor form, the weMail Elementor Integration makes it simple. Once connected, weMail can automatically collect and organize all subscriber data from your Elementor forms, streamlining your email management process. For more details you can follow this documentation: https://getwemail.io/docs/wemail/integrations/page-builder/wemail-elementor/
Thanks for your interest in weMail. Definitely, you can have multiple lists with weMail. You can enjoy other email marketing features as well.
Just keep in mind that, you'll need a WordPress website to install the weMail plugin. And for sending the newsletters, you'll need to connect one of your email-sending gateways (currently supports Amazon SES, Brevo, Elastic Email, Mailgun, Pepipost, Postmark, SendGrid, SparkPost, or custom SMTP).
So does this also include a lead collection form to collect the email addresses?
Q: Could you make one tier for freelancers for 10-20 sites and 5000 subs. each?
I was already happy to get an email marketing solution for my many wordpress pages. And then I read: for one website and you need your own smtp. Right now the only value would have been that I could offer my clients email marketing directly in the wordpress environment...
Bid on freelancers and you'll see where your sales start to go right away :)
Your shared feature request is noted in our feature request list. We will include the deal and feature in the near future if everything goes right. Thanks for your time to share your concern here.
At this time, weMail is available exclusively for a single site. We truly value your input and have noted down your suggestions for future enhancements. Thank you for your understanding in this regard.
Q: What makes you so expensive compared to the competition?
I know fluentcrm and funnelkit automations or mailmint. I see that they do the same thing, they don't have user limits and they allow multiple sites. Some even have automations with SMS and other things. Why is your app so much more expensive? What makes it different that makes it worth this price?
We appreciate your query and interest in weMail. weMail is designed as a robust, integrated email marketing solution within WordPress, similar to other tools like FluentCRM and MailMint. While these plugins also offer automation and multi-site capabilities, weMail distinguishes itself through its built-in flexibility with multiple email gateways, including Amazon SES, Mailgun, and SparkPost, making it adaptable to your preferred email service provider.
weMail focuses on providing a high-quality, flexible email marketing experience within WordPress, with streamlined costs through the subscriber-based pricing model. By limiting subscribers, we’re able to keep the platform affordable and high-performing for all users. For users who prioritize a stable, email-focused platform with flexibility in email gateways, weMail provides a strong value in its features and pricing structure.
I acknowledge your perspective, however, Mail Mint or Fluent CRM both have their own pros and cons depending on customers niche. Moreover in the AppSumo deal, weMail is much lower than what Mail Mint($89.99/y) or FluentCRM($103/y) offers per site.
Thank you for reaching out to us, and have a good day.
I will give this a go! Please add support for Bricks Builder forms and Bricksforge form Pro. Also, please consider allowing multiple websites per tier.
I will give this a go! Please add support for Bricks Builder forms and Bricksforge form Pro. Also, please consider allowing multiple websites per tier.
A: Hello Stein55, Appreciate your enthusiasm for integrating Bricks Builder Forms and Brickforge form with weMail. Currently, we don't have official integration with them. However, I have noted down your feature suggestion for the future roadmap. We understand your request for multiple sites to activate is crucial. Unfortunately, multiple sites per tier are not possible at the moment. Moreover, thanks for sharing the enhancement request. We appreciate for supporting us and have a blast!
Q: Inquiry About Incentive-Based Lead Form Feature
Hello, I'm exploring email marketing solutions and would like to know if weMail supports or plans to implement a feature similar to ConvertKit's incentive-based lead forms. Specifically, I'm interested in a functionality where a lead form allows subscribers to confirm their subscription via a "Confirm and Download" button in an email. This button would both confirm their subscription and automatically start the download of a freebie, without the need for multiple landing pages or additional steps.
Please refere to this page for a better understanding: https://help.kit.com/en/articles/2502655-the-incentive-email
Is this feature currently available, or is it something that might be included in future updates?
I would like to inform you that lead collection of users is available but direct freebie download is currently unavailable. Users will need to set an automation for sending download links.
On the other hand, thanks for sharing the enhancement request for this feature. We will include in the near future if possible.
Thank you for your answer. Just taking this feature request into consideration for future development means a lot and I'm thinking to give wemail a try.
Thanks for the update. You are always welcome here. Just give it a try and I hope you will love the plugin.
Cheers!
Q: GDRP-compliant? / Autoresponder?
1. Is weMail GDPR-compliant?
2. Can I realize "Autoresponder Series" with weMail? Scenario: The user subscribes to the newsletter (e.g., an email course "SEO") and receives a specific email each week for 5 weeks (i.e., a specific lesson for the "SEO" email course each week).
Please find the answers below: 1. We didn't make any conflict with the GDPR-Compliant issue. We just provide the form and options to send email to your subscribers. Thats all and that is not prevent or block any GDPR rules. You are free to use weMail.
2. &ou can set up an "Autoresponder Series" in weMail to send a structured email course over a period of time, like a weekly SEO lesson for five weeks. weMail supports drip campaigns, which are designed to send a series of emails triggered by user actions—such as subscribing to your newsletter.

Q: Inquiry About Incentive-Based Lead Form Feature
Hello,
I'm exploring email marketing solutions and would like to know if weMail supports or plans to implement a feature similar to ConvertKit's incentive-based lead forms.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Victor

Nov 6, 2024A: Hi Victor,
Thanks for your query.
I would like to inform you that lead collection of users is available but direct freebie download is currently unavailable. Users will need to set an automation for sending download links.
On the other hand, thanks for sharing the enhancement request for this feature. We will include in the near future if possible.
Thanks and have a nice day.

Nov 6, 2024A: Hi AP,
Thanks for your interest in weMail.
Please find the answers below:
I hope this information helps.
Thanks and have a nice day.
