A: Hi, at the moment it is not possible to choose a model. We use Whisper Large V2 by default.

MacWhisper runs Whisper models locally on your device, whereas WhisperTranscribe uses models running in the cloud. The speed and quality of your transcription with MacWhisper depends on your device and the model you select. With WhisperTranscribe you consistently get quick and high quality transcripts.

Another important difference is that WhisperTranscribe allows you to generate content from your transcript. We generate some content by default for you, and you can create more content via custom prompts.
