Wisecut was one of the early pioneers in AI video repurposing. Since launching in 2019, we’ve spent years refining the technology behind clipping, reframing, captions, and rendering. But more importantly, we focused on something many tools still get wrong: the final output.

A lot of products in this space promise dozens of features. But when you actually export the clip, the framing feels off, the tracking is shaky, the cuts feel jumpy, or the result just does not look polished enough to publish. At Wisecut, we took a different approach. We focused on making the end result feel smooth, clean, and professional.

That meant years of improving speaker tracking, smart reframing, rendering speed, captioning, and the overall user experience so that creating clips could feel almost effortless.

Today, more than 1 million users have used Wisecut to turn long videos into polished, social-ready clips in just a few clicks.

Your early support helped us build Wisecut into what it is today, and we’re genuinely grateful for that. Since our first AppSumo campaign, both the product and the market have evolved significantly. Wisecut has grown from a simpler editing tool into a much more advanced AI platform for turning long videos into polished, social-ready clips, and we’ve continued improving the experience for all Wisecut users along the way.

As the product evolved and became much more AI-heavy, we also made sure to take care of our earlier Sumo-lings. We upgraded previous AppSumo customers to benefit from the newer Wisecut experience, and we will continue evolving the product and supporting both early and new Sumo-lings alike.

The one limitation to be aware of is around adding more minutes through this new AppSumo campaign. Because this offer uses a newer AppSumo deal structure and technical integration, previous AppSumo purchases will not work for stacking additional minutes on the same account. In practice, older Sumo-lings who want more hours through this campaign would need to create a new Wisecut account through AppSumo. Essentially, it would be the same Wisecut product you already own, but with the added benefit of more lifetime AI editing minutes.

We want to be transparent about that, while also making clear that previous customers are still being taken care of. Our goal is to keep improving Wisecut for everyone who has supported us, from our earliest users to the new Sumo-lings joining us now.
