I'm using this to take longer videos (90) and turns them into clips with cc.

Wisecut is easy to get going on, and I think does a mostly great job of taking that video and selecting the best clips BUT it is still AI. I like that if a word needs to be edited out (like "ums" ) it is incredible easy to do that (whether through the AI or manually) and for the most part the corresponding video cut is acceptable.

What I am struggling with is that the AI titles and tags on my shorter videos are close but not correct and I can't edit them nor can I delete the ones that are redundant or unwanted; this is in part because I'd like to be able to merge some of the clips. I think I'll have to set up a spreadsheet to track which clips I'm using to merge so I''m finding it difficult to track and keep a sensible work flow with.

It's also incredible slow when I make edits to the clips and I end up refreshing to make sure it's actually taken, but having said all that I do think there is good value here, and all in all it does make my editing easier.

I bought the extra minutes as well in the LTD and am grateful I did because I can see myself using this regularly despite the aformentioned issues. I can see how it would be really limiting if I didn't get the add on.

note: I did reach out to Customer Support two days ago to see if these issues (not being able to edit tags & titles and delete unwanted clips) are features that are coming or if there's a glitch; I have not heard back yet. UPDATE on June 12th: Customer Service did respond - these features are not currently available but the request has been passed on.

I originally bought Wisecut on AppSumo back in 2021, and I’m still using it today.
At the time, I was working with clients through a marketing agency, and Wisecut became part of my workflow for editing client videos, especially testimonials, interviews, and long-form content that needed to be turned into shorter clips for social media.
What I like most is that Wisecut helps me save a lot of time on repetitive editing tasks. For client work, that makes a big difference. A video testimonial or interview can quickly become multiple short clips that are easier to post and reuse across social media.
I’ve seen the product improve over the years, and I’m happy that the team keeps improving it.
Since I use it professionally and get real value from it, I recently decided to buy another license. That probably says more than anything else.
For anyone creating videos for themselves or for clients, Wisecut is definitely worth trying. It has been one of the AppSumo tools I actually kept using long after buying it.

I create videos regularly and first found Wisecut while searching on Google for an easier way to turn long videos into short clips.

Before trying it, I looked into the company and was impressed to see that Wisecut has been around for several years and has a real track record in the video editing space. That gave me more confidence to test it.

After using it, I was honestly surprised by how good the results were. I've tried other tools that promise similar things, but the final clips often felt rough or needed too much manual editing. Wisecut gave me much better results and saved me a lot of time.

I'm very happy with the purchase and still can't believe there is a lifetime deal available for a tool this useful. I can definitely see myself using it a lot.

Wisecut has made my video editing process much faster and easier for YouTube Shorts and social media clips. The AI silence removal, auto captions and smart cutting features save me a lot of time and effort that I used to spend manually editing.

I like the fact that I can upload raw footage and turn it into nice short form content in a matter of minutes without spending hours on the timeline. The interface is easy to use for beginners and the storyboard/transcript editing approach feels much easier than in traditional editing software. Auto reframing for vertical videos is also very useful for YouTube Shorts.

I have tested several AI video tools and Wisecut is one of the easiest to start using right away. Definitely worth it for creators, marketers and anyone creating regular video content

That said, I'd still love to see the platform continue evolving because it has a lot of potential. Some improvements/features I'd really like to see:

1. AI Auto B-Rolls
2. More caption templates and caption animations
3. Manual framing adjustments after AI reframing
4. Better AI face tracking / speaker centering
5. Audio/Music uploads
6. A more advanced timeline editor with transitions and effects
7. AI-generated video edits and effects
8. Auto-added sound effects and media inserts
9. Better emoji animations and engagement effects
10. More AI audio enhancement options
11. Improved filler-word removal and keyword emphasis
12. If a video is under 3 minutes, ask whether to generate Shorts or simply convert the full video into a captioned vertical short

Overall though, the core AI editing already works very well and saves a lot of effort. If the developers continue improving the editor and adding more AI automation features, I can easily see Wisecut becoming one of the top AI tools for short-form content creators.

I honestly can’t quite understand why there are only two reviews here at the moment and why one of them is so bad. I just bought Tier 1 and think the software makes a very good overall impression. I uploaded a video initially, and it produced really good shorts; the cuts all fit very well, so overall they improved my entire video significantly without me having to intervene manually. My video was completely in German. And everything was correctly captioned and looks really good.

As mentioned here and there, I would, however, like some additional features. These include, above all, the following features:
- Automated eye detection so that you always look at the camera.
- Unfortunately, you can only upload one large file (what does not really make sense, especially with the 5 GB upload limit, which is not enough if you want to upload longer videos). My videos, however, always consist of many small files, even without audio. I would like it if you could create a project to add your files there and then cut a large video from them. The main purpose of the software should not be just to create Shorts.
- That naturally also includes a truly good video editor with a timeline and transitions.

I really hope that, in the future, work will continue on the software and that it will continuously improve.
