At this point, you can publish to only one custom domain from one Wishpond account so I would say it is one CNAME per account.

Thats a deal breaker.
I was planning to use WishPond to host my client websites as an Agency.
Now that only once CNAME can be used/account, that is off the question. And so is WishPond.
