To call it buggy would be generous
When I saw Wishpond has features like contact forms, website activity tracking, and CRM integration, I was excited. We have been looking for a system to complement Pipedrive CRM with these features. However, after buying 3 codes and trying it out, I'm pretty disappointed so far and wouldn't recommend it for anyone except those on a very very tight marketing budget.
Problems uncovered in first hour of testing:
1. Creating forms is a tedious process since they are really just full landing pages built with the landing page builder, except the rest of the page is empty. But, the landing page builder is very glitchy. Try to drag and reorder a form field, and it goes haywire and snaps items next to each other into a multi column form. Then you have to carefully manually undo what it did and make your form normal again with simple fields stacked vertically one by one. Trying to add a new type of field besides the default ones? A cryptic hidden icon and series of pop up modals are in your future. You get the point. This platform should really have a separate Form Builder tool like all other marketing platforms do, if they are going to advertise Forms as a feature.
2. Syncing with CRMs: On Wishpond's own landing page for Pipedrive, for example, they advertise auto syncing to your crm as easy to set up as ticking a checkbox. I have yet to see where this auto sync box is and have scoured the product up and down. This means that every time you want to move leads from Wishpond into your crm, you have to log in to wishpond, click 5 things to get to CRM export, re-map all of your fields between wishpond and your crm because they don't store the mapping and don't even fill in the obvious ones like "Wishpond - First Name" = "Pipedrive First Name".
3. To make matters worse, the CRM sync only syncs in "people" records. It won't create company/organization records or deal/lead/opportunity records in your crm.
4. Their knowledge base is more disorganized than a teenager's bedroom. Search returns nonsense, basic searches for words like "integration" or "pipedrive" return zero results despite being features they market. There are entire modules of this product that seem undocumented. And, given what other reviewers have said about support not answering messages for days if at all, I'm not optimistic that my problems will ever be resolved.
One plus: their website activity tracking does seem to work. It creates detailed timelines of every action a visitor takes on your site as long as you have their tracking embed code on every page.
Overall, unless they change their tune dramatically, I expect to refund this deal. It's a shame because if they could do the forms and CRM syncing right, the activity tracking would be perfect. If feels like they're trying to do everything under the sun and have no QA or support processes.

May 9, 2024Hey jake+as,
I'm sorry to hear you haven't had a good experience so far!
I appreciate your feedback though and I'll pass it along to our product team.
To follow up on some of your points:
1. Yes, it's true that our forms tool is built using the same drag-and-drop editor as our landing pages. Once you're finished creating a form, you can simply embed it in any page and it'll just appear as an HTML iframe. When we were developing this product, the feedback we got was actually quite positive since a lot of other forms products were a lot more rigid and didn't allow for complete customization.
We're actually releasing a brand new forms / landing page builder in the next 2 weeks though, so if you have a chance, I'd love to hear your feedback on that :D
2. You should be able to select "Export Current & Future Leads (Ongoing Export)" when you choose your integration and this will automatically sync your leads as soon as they come in. If you're unable to find that option, email me at [email protected] and I'll send you a screenshot of where that is.
3. Yes, this is true. It'll update contacts but not entire organizations. If you need to do this or if you need to move pipeline stages etc, you can do that through Zapier.
4. We just migrated to a new knowledge base recently and I agree the search is not optimal. Although not a perfect solution, try googling "wishpond knowledge base pipedrive" and that actually does a better job finding the correct article you need to find. I apologize for the confusion though! If you check with our support team they're happy to send you any article you need.
Thanks again for taking the time to check out the platform, and let me know if there's anything I can do to help clarify how to use specific features on the platform or to help you launch your campaigns.
Cheers,
Kevin
