A: Hi Tania, in a sense yes... in many ways Wonders is better, but it depends on your use-case.
Wonders is really controllable, we combine more traditional search approach with AI, so that you choose the exact keywords and sources that will be used for AI processing. It is also much better for academic, technical, scientific, and patent information—as we draw on peer-reviewed journals & patent databases.
However, we don't support web search as a source; requires a bit more work from you as a user than just asking a question; and some features, like PDF upload, are not yet available.
You can see our roadmap.readwonders.com for more info on our future plans!
well google workspace gives you enterprise privacy on LMnotebook and gemini. So we are not sure yet if this is an alternative; of course the features there will be backed by the largest information services company in the world, Google, so the deep research would be hard to compete with from a startup unless they also commit to privacy and continuous improvement ;-)
I don't know who wrote this, but it wasn't our team.
Deep Research actually hallucinates far more than Wonders and you have little control over sources. As for privacy & security—we do not allow our providers to train models on our user's data, and as for continuous improvement—we have large universities and leading companies as our customers, whose needs we're committed to supporting too.
Q: Privacy?
Hi, this software looks great. If we buy tier 3 or 4 with the Org Administration (many workspaces and seats, unlimited searching) can you please confirm that this is covered by the "privacy, security" which is mentioned on your Wonder Teams plan on the website? I just want to be sure that we aren't getting a subpar privacy deal if we buy here. Thank you.
A: Yup, the plans are comparable. If you're talking about private model deployment and enterprise governance, that is only available on our Enterprise plans and not included in this exclusive AppSumo deal.
Can we upload books/private documents in WondersAI ? And maybe for example ask to search and write a summary or resume for some similarities between 2 or 3 books, or documents ? Also, can we ask for answers/researchs in French ?
How about memory ? Do we have to explain what we do, want etc every time we use it ?
A: Hi, PDF uploads are coming at a later date—welcome to check out our roadmap.readwonders.com for more details & drop an upvote for this feature!
You can absolutely use Wonders in French—here's more details on how to do that: https://help.readwonders.com/en/article/how-to-change-language-1fnhrif/
Memory—well, Wonders works very differently from typical chatbots. Best to skim through this video to get the difference: https://help.readwonders.com/en/article/video-getting-started-with-wonders-t37rfa/ That said, all your work is persistently saved in each project & yes, the AI will always use it to produce summaries and answers.
But can you confirm your team will add this feature to all tiers in future?
Q: Wonders AI functionalities questions
Hi, I have a few questions and would appreciate your feedback: 1. How does Wonders AI differ from Scite? 2. Is there integration with Zotero, enabling the use of sources from Zotero collections for research within Wonders AI? 3. Does Wonders AI provide a native PDF reader for viewing and annotating sources? 4. Does Wonders AI support deep-linking to sources when copying content to Microsoft Word or Markdown, and when exporting reports in LaTeX, PDF or Word formats? 5. Is Wonders AI suitable for use as reference management software, allowing the generation of references, citations and bibliographies, and does it support integration with Microsoft Word add-in? 6. Is it possible to identify research gaps using Wonders AI? 7. As someone familiar with Scite and Zotero, what differences should I expect when using Wonders AI? Thank you.
1. Wonders is a step-by-step research workspace where you can have multiple searches, fully control your search strategy, manage your found literature, alongside AI support.
2. We don't have a direct Zotero integration yet, but it is on our roadmap and we're just waiting to get more support for it: https://wonders.featurebase.app/p/integrate-with-popular-reference-managers. For now you can export CSV & .bib of your references.
3. Not yet, but it is also on our roadmap — welcome to vote for it here: https://wonders.featurebase.app/p/upload-own-pdfs-for-analysis
4. Yes! There are some inconsistencies, but we are addressing them.
5. Wonders stores all the references for your project and they can be exported. We don't have a Word add-in, but again it is something we can consider. Welcome to add it to our roadmap!
6. In some sense yes—if you configure a thorough research board, you should see what topics are covered. As part of our upcoming design sprint we plan to focus on gap analysis and connecting dots. But hard to give an ETA to that as it is a completely novel problem/interface.
7. The differences are probably best seen in this video! https://help.readwonders.com/en/article/video-getting-started-with-wonders-t37rfa/
Q: Is this an alternative to Perplexity.ai or Google's notebook?
