Q: Hello, 1.
How is it different from Goals and other project management tools (I already have Smarttask.io and Suitedash.com, both from Appsumo)?
2. It seems goals can be defined followed by tasks decomposition, allocation and notification (communications) but how will it work in terms of aligning goals to balance score card method is not clear to me. Also are you defining goals as KPIs?
3. Can you include an add on where buyers can add extra number of users after deal instead of shifting to regular plan, reason is it is not that easy to learn, incorporate and then persuade acceptance among team members even in small companies. This is business tool, so it may be tough to anticipate future growth as related to user base. Any guidance? For example, I work with freelancer so 3-5 seats are enough for me, so advise to buy 25 users license doesn't make sense for the time being.
4. Is your solution sector agnostic? Is it more like IT project tool or a general purpose goal tracking solution as stated in point 2?
5. What is difference between OKRs and SMART goals. I understand individual definition of each but how is it different in context of your tool usage.
6. Can you include 360 degree feedback? Also can it be used for Corporate governance, why yes or no? Please clarify what do you mean by discussion items, are the point of importance as related to goals achievement?
7. Why are you not giving unlimited users even at tier 3?
8. Where are you based, team size, years in business? Who are your major competitors? What is the your ultimate vision for this product?
Thanks

May 14, 2024A: Hi - I will answer each of your questions in the paragraph below the question:
1. How is it different from Goals and other project management tools (I already have Smarttask.io and Suitedash.com, both from Appsumo)?
As I have not used these applications above I will need to make some generic observations regarding the tools you specified. Those tools have Project management, CRM and LMS capabilities. Workfcata is designed to create focus through goal setting with supporting actions + KPI tracking & management + integrated meeting management and decision making. It is a business management tool for teams - not a project management tool for teams.
2. It seems goals can be defined followed by tasks decomposition, allocation and notification (communications) but how will it work in terms of aligning goals to balance score card method is not clear to me. Also are you defining goals as KPIs?
We do not define KPI's as Goals. There are very destinct and the platform is deigned to allow teams to define both goals and KPI's that are important to the team. It has flexibility to all a balance of items to be tracked, and aggregates performance tracking on all the planned outcomes and KPI targets. In this sence the system automatically generates and an assessment of overall performance against the outcomes desired and the adherence to the management disciplines within the platform. It is up to each team to decide if the variables they are going to track "complies" with a true balanced scorecard framework.
The tier may be upgraded within the 30 day deal period. This is the available option.
4. Is your solution sector agnostic? Is it more like IT project tool or a general purpose goal tracking solution as stated in point 2?
The solution is industry agnostic. It is a business management tool with a stronger focus on goal and commercial management. It does have some functionality consistent with project management tools - but this is not its principle driver.
5. What is difference between OKRs and SMART goals. I understand individual definition of each but how is it different in context of your tool usage.
Our tool allows you to set Goals that may or may not have a numerical target (key results). So it gives flexibility regarding the format you prefer.
6. Can you include 360 degree feedback? This is not currently a feature
Also can it be used for Corporate governance, why yes or no? Yes, we do have some boards utilising the platform
Please clarify what do you mean by discussion items, are the point of importance as related to goals achievement? Discussion items relate to any goal/kpi or discussion item identified in a meeting as needing to be discussed and resolved. The platform has an in meeting decision making structure to focus conversations areound solutions and outcomes from those discussions - then integrates the agreed outcomes into the workflows and future meeting reporting.
7. Why are you not giving unlimited users even at tier 3? The deal has been structured to represent great value at 25 users. As our pricing is typically user based - it is not appropriate under our model to prove unlimited users.
8. Where are you based, team size, years in business? We are based in Australia and have a team of 10 and been in business for 3 years.
Who are your major competitors? We find our major competitor is people who are still using word documents and excel spreadsheets to manage their goal tracking, meetings and to-do lists.
What is the your ultimate vision for this product? To achieve global adoption and to deliver great value to our clients by making it easier for them to be successful.
Hello Adam,
Thanks for your response
1. I studied your website at a deeper level. I need to ask what do you mean by dashboard widgets, enterprise widgets and charting widgets. What is the difference between them and their value in your platform?
2. It seems you are not giving any API, Enterprise performance and accounting software integration. I would like to know scenario in which absence of 'Number API' integration will create problem. Is there a common sense way around 'absence of enterprise performance' feature?
3. Can I add/delete freelancer (users as per your terminology). My team is not static. Also can you at least open link based viewing to outside parties on unlimited basis, or is not required since you are calling it business management solution, so perhaps your focus is on internal working of company. Please share your opinion on this aspect.
4. So am I suppose to add meeting details in manual way. Is there a way to communicate with team members. Can I bring in an outside solution like "Flutin or onlive.io" in platform for live calls among team members?
5. What do you mean by 'management disciplines' within the platform?'
Thanks
Hi - happy to provide responses to your questions listed below:
1. I studied your website at a deeper level. I need to ask what do you mean by dashboard widgets, enterprise widgets and charting widgets. What is the difference between them and their value in your platform?
Answer - Widgets is the generic name for boxes of information that can be selected and displayed on the users dashboard ie Dashboard widgets. Each user will have access to standard set of useful information within the platform under the business premium plan. Charting widgets are graphical representations of the numbers/kpi's setup by the team. Enterprise widgets are advanced aggregations of information that allow aggregated information across multiple teams and companies to be displayed within a users dashboard.
2. It seems you are not giving any API, Enterprise performance and accounting software integration. I would like to know scenario in which absence of 'Number API' integration will create problem. Is there a common sense way around 'absence of enterprise performance' feature?
Answer - numbers/kpi's are typically updated by users. The API does provide an opportunity for automations - however in our experience this automation is most beneficial to large enterprises in a multi-company, multi-team environment. The system will deliver performance for your teams. Enterprise performance refers to the ability to roll up team performance through various corporate entities. This is a feature which is only relevant to large enterprises.
3. Can I add/delete freelancer (users as per your terminology). My team is not static. Also can you at least open link based viewing to outside parties on unlimited basis, or is not required since you are calling it business management solution, so perhaps your focus is on internal working of company. Please share your opinion on this aspect.
Answer - you can easily add and remove users at any time. Most teams contain users from within the business - so you are right to say there is more of an "internal" focus. Some teams do include others from outside their own business as required, but this is more an exception to the standard use case.
4. So am I suppose to add meeting details in manual way. Is there a way to communicate with team members. Can I bring in an outside solution like "Flutin or onlive.io" in platform for live calls among team members?
Answer - I'm not familiar with the product you have mentioned. Most teams now have remote team members who need to attend and this is typically done by holding the meeting in MS Teams or Zoom and then sharing screen.
5. What do you mean by 'management disciplines' within the platform?'
Answer - the platform encourages disciplined management behaviours such as doing both annual and quarterly planning, holding regular meetings, ensuring those meeting are held efficiently and the team focus on critical data and make timely decisions with clear accountabilities when solving problems in meetings.
