Q: Thanks for coming to AppSumo Nate I see that you have a lot of integrations with membership plugins.
Is a separate membership plugin required to make WP Courseware work?
What are the common benefits you see in pairing WP Courseware with a separate membership plugin?

Thanks for your questions!
We do have a number of membership integrations since some of our users were already working with a membership plugin before installing WP Courseware. However, it's not necessary to have a separate membership or e-commerce plugin. WP Courseware allows you to charge for your courses using PayPal or Stripe and it actually has membership functionality built-in should you have non-course content that you'd like to offer as part of a package with your course offering.
Cheers!
Nate
So can that be used to make certain blog posts on the site restricted unless your are a particular course member.
Also, If a viewer comes to the wordpress site can it be set that they see a paragraph of content then a label box or graphic telling them they need to join the course to read and are then redirected to the course purchase location. Is that how it would work?
Hi jmc,
That's exactly right...you can bundle other content like blog posts together with a course to create a membership. Sometimes we see it used to restrict access to forums, special deal pages, live webinar pages, etc.
Also, yes, you can create teaser content.
That's tremendous, great. Really useful.
Thanks for reply.

John
