A: Hi there! Thanks for checking out WP Force SSL :)
This plugin makes it easy to fix any SSL issues with your certificate. It also gives you real-time monitoring for your certificate, so you'll get a heads-up if anything’s not working right or if your certificate is about to expire.
One of the coolest features is the Content Scanner. It scans every page on your site to find and fix mixed content errors—those sneaky issues that can hurt your SEO—and much more!

Can i use this for SSL certs if my domain is hosted by Namecheap and I'm not suing a Wordpress website? For instance my domain with Namecheap is using a subdirectory to point to a TidyCal booking page i have. I would like to add SSL to the namecheap domain. Would that be possible? Also, the various tiers mention branding versus white label. Can you share where myself or a website visitor would see that?
A: Hi, Yes, if you have your own certificate, you can use it. The plugin offers a free certificate, but you do not have to use it if you have a 3rd party option :) The plugin will still monitor it.
White label lets you remove all the mentions of our company as well as the plugin name. Unlike White Labeling, Rebranding allows you to completely change the name of the plugin, logo, and appearance and create a unique version, which you can sell as part of your service to your clients (you can't resell the plugin, but you can offer it as part of your service, for example if you build sites for customers, you can include your own version of the plugin and install on clients' sites under your own name).
thanks, i don't have my own certs. I would like for this to provide the SSL certs. Will it work with Wildcard options for my domain? how long is the cert good for? Does it autorenew?
Yes! By clicking a button in the plugin’s settings, a free certificate will be automatically generated from Let’s Encrypt, and you can quickly install it on your site.
i'm stuck. I bought this and don't understand how to install the SSL cert for my domain (not hosted on Wordpress). How do i just create a Cert. I don't have any Wordpress websites?
Unfortunately, no. WordPress plugins only work on WordPress, as you need to install them before you can use any of the features.
Q: Few questions
I am using really simple ssl and so far is good.
The problems is that the plugin show to many messages and alerts to force you to the pro version so i might get your pro version just to get rid of that.
1) Does your pro plugin show none importants alerts as well each time a user activate it?
2) Does it require me to install 2 plugin (free and pro) or just one plugin?
1) If you purchase this deal, it is a PRO lifetime version that won't show you any upsells. You can show alerts regarding your certificate, but you won't get any ads/upsells in the plugin. 2) No, you just need this (PRO) version :)
Hi, my DNS is on Cloudflare, and my hosting provider offers free SSL certificates for my domains. How does WP FORCE add value? Does WP FORCE issue an SSL certificate to CNAMES? also, would there be any conflicts of certificates if they are already issued by the hosting company? Thanks, and I look forward to your response.
A: Hi, The WP Force SSL plugin offers several features, including the ability to issue a free certificate. However, its main value is its real-time SSL monitor, which monitors more than 50 errors each time it checks your site. Thus, you don't have to worry about the certificate. The plugin also includes a content scanner that provides a comprehensive report, allowing you to easily avoid mixed content errors. You can learn more about all the other features here in the content or visit the official site wpforcessl.com for more details :)
Thanks for your clarification. I am going to buy and check if it solves some of my SSL issues
Q: Changes are no longer available if the plugin is deactivated?
i read on your website that any errors are not permanently fixed, it says that the changes are no longer available if the plugin is deactivated. i assume that the plugin solves this via duplicates in the database. i actually wanted to use it on my websites, but would have deactivated it afterwards because of the performance. i do this with all plugins, e.g. backups. i would now like to know is it the case that duplicates inflate the database and why should this not affect performance?
A: Hi, The plugin uses a scanner to monitor your SSL at all the times. So as soon as you deactivate/uninstall it, it stops working, and it won't let you know if something is wrong with your certificate.
Yes, most of the changes are done on the fly, meaning that after you deactivate the plugin, they will revert. For example, if the plugin changes your URLs from http to https, after you delete the plugin from the site, those URLs will be changed back to the unsecured version.
Q: SSL Confusion
Hi My SSL is handled via GoDaddy, what does this plugin do in relation to that? I feel like I don't understand what this plugin does at all.

It's good for a year, and yes it will autorenew.

Hi,
This is a WordPress plugin and works only on WordPress sites.
so i can't use this on other sites besides Wordpress?

Thanks for the answer, but I was already aware of this.
My question was actually aimed at the duplicates in the database, here with a focus on size and performance.
On the other hand, I wanted to know whether path changes I have made are also no longer available after deactivation.
Reason: With a large database, deactivation would actually make sense because of the RAM required on the server.
No Answers?
Hi,
Sorry for the late reply.
Size and performance are not an issue; the plugin will not slow your site in any way.
All the changes you make with the help of the plugin will be lost once you remove the plugin.
