You will need to reinstall the certificate every time you regenerate it. Most hosts provide Let's Encrypt certificates themselves now, so I advise you to check your Hosting Panel to see if you have that option, as they use Certbot that auto-renews them when needed.

My current host only allows SSL if the NS is pointing to them. i have only my A record pointed so I am using this and it's working fine so far.
