May 14, 2024A: Hi,
1. The most important difference is that WP Force SSL monitors your certificates in real-time and notifies you about problems, which is important if you work with dozens or hundreds of sites. It also comes with a content scanner and a lot of other features that the free version of the Really Simple SSL doesn't have. You also get a license manager so you can more easily work with multiple sites, white labeling, rebranding, etc.
2. No, it should not cause any problem with other plugins or themes.
3. It will scan the site for mixed content. It will not remove anything. Based on the scan results, you will be able to fix mixed content if you want to (change everything to HTTPS instead of HTTP which you can do manually or let the plugin handle it for you)

Hello,
Thanks for your response.
1. Can you elaborate bit more as how plugin checks mixed content on every page, What achieve do I need to take and what action plug-ins is taking from automation and technical perspective.
2. Will it increase security of my site?
3. Since you mentioned about free certificate generation for word press sites, can you tell how is it done and how are these certificates similar or different to "comodo" awarded certificates?
4. Do you plan to add any new feature or you think plugin requires no further changes either in terms of features or bugs?
Thanks

Hello,
Few more things:
1. I have many third party SaaS products integrated in my website. Purpose to provide respective functionality to customers. Can you plugin help with SSL, site security or SEO in such context or it will depend on SSL certificates of respective SaaS products.
2. How will it work in terms of adding value if I install it on those client sites which already have free version of simple SSL?
Thanks
Hey,
1. It will go through your pages & posts and find if there's mixed content - HTTPS and HTTP links that don't go well together. You can set the plugin to automatically switch HTTP instances to HTTPS to make it more secure or you can do that manually if you want to do that just for some instances you think need changes.
2. Yes, it will make it more secure.
3. The plugin will connect you to Let's Encrypt and generate a free certificate for you, so you can quickly install it on your site.
4. The plugin is still only a couple of months old, so we definitely plan on adding new features in the future. We fix bugs on regular basis and release updates that can easily be obtained through the dashboard.
5. The plugin will help you monitor SSL certificates on all your sites. It all depends on how those SaaS are integrated. If you have a specific case, please contact our support, so an agent can help you.
6. You can monitor certificates and know if there are any errors you should address (it monitors more than 50 errors related to certificates). The plugin will let you scan each site for mixed content and keep each site more secure. It will also let you know if you need to renew the certificate on any specific site
