A: Hello Ridge0212,

Virusdie is a solid security solution, with a comprehensive firewall and strong malware scanning capabilities, making it a great choice for website protection. If you're happy with Virusdie and it’s meeting your needs, you don’t need an additional security plugin.

At WP Security Ninja, our focus is on providing solid security with a user-friendly and simple interface. We offer unique features like two-factor authentication, webhooks integration, white-label options, and an easy install wizard - everything you need to secure your site without the complexity.

That said, Virusdie also offers excellent features that we don’t have. If you're satisfied with Virusdie, there's no need to switch. Thanks for asking! :-)

Q: Only for new Freemius account users?

Hi,

I am supposed to create a new Freemius account upon activation, is that correct?

I just got the highest level and I don't agree with a new account. I've noticed this with other products too, that it's increasingly only for new customers. Then I don't need AppSumo Plus any more. Who creates a new account every time and has dozens of email addresses? Not me^

Is there another option or do I have to return the product?

A: Hello BenitoBenthim

It is for technical issues, you can use your same email address when redeeming your license. If you encounter some problems with redeeming and using an email that already exists in Freemius, reach out to us via support and we will get your account up and running properly.

Q: License management?

Do you use Freemius for your license management?

One concern I have is feedback I found from an online review mentioning how the licensing or integration with Freemius isn't smooth which caused Security Ninja plugin on the reviewer's website to suddenly become deactivated (or downgraded to the free version), which is a concerning security risk if the plugin has issues communicating with Freemius to maintain its Pro licensing.

Can you comment on whether this has been improved or resolved, and better yet, do you have a license management system that allows agencies to issue unique licenses for each client website?

Wouldn't want to use a single, universal license on client websites if possible, unless there is a secure way to hide it from anyone seeing it.

A: Hi there,

Yes, we use Freemius for license management, and they’ve been a great partner for us for years. We understand the concern regarding licensing issues, and I can assure you that the integration has been improved. The issue mentioned in the review has been addressed, and we’ve seen consistent performance since those updates.

Regarding your question about unique licenses for client websites:
Currently, Freemius doesn’t allow agencies to create individual license keys for each client site. However, you can manage licenses securely from the Freemius license dashboard, where you can hide license and account info from appearing on your client’s website. This ensures that sensitive details remain secure while still allowing you to manage all your licenses effectively.

Thanks for bringing this up, and we appreciate your concern for security!

Q: Comparing to Solid Security Pro and some latest security features

Hi Lars, you have a solid product and I’m very interested, but I’d like to know your roadmap for Security Ninja, especially in comparison to top premium plugins like Solid Security Pro.

Is there any ongoing development or plans to implement the following in the near future?

1. Automated Patching & Scheduled Malware Scanning (e.g., Patchstack integration for real-time fixes)?

2. AI-Driven Behavioral Firewall Rules instead of static ones?

3. Real-Time File Change Detection for faster breach response?

4. Dark Web Monitoring & Stronger Password Policies?

5. Extras like temp access links for clients/visitors, passwordless login (fingerprinting), honeypot/2FA hardening, and geolocation-based trusted devices?

If these can be added, along with some UI/UX improvements, you will be on par or better than all your competitors!

A: Thanks for your interest in Security Ninja and for the great feedback! It’s awesome to hear that you’re comparing us to other top-tier security plugins like Solid Security Pro. We’re always striving to improve, and I appreciate your thoughtful suggestions. Here's where we stand on the features you mentioned:

Automated Patching & Scheduled Malware Scanning (e.g., Patchstack integration):
This is a complex feature, and it’s something we’re not planning to implement in the near future due to the challenges involved. Real-time fixes and automated patching require significant infrastructure.

AI-Driven Behavioral Firewall Rules:
We’ve already begun working on this! AI has the potential to help us improve security, and we’re actively testing it. Right now, we’re focused on making sure the false positive rate is low enough.

Real-Time File Change Detection:
Unfortunately, we don’t offer real-time detection at the moment. Implementing this could negatively impact performance, so it’s something we’re holding off on for now.

Dark Web Monitoring & Stronger Password Policies:
We don’t currently offer dark web monitoring, and it’s not something we have plans to add in the immediate future. We also don’t have extra password policies in place, but we do continuously review ways to strengthen security across the plugin.

Extras like temp access links, passwordless login, honeypot/2FA hardening, and geolocation-based trusted devices:
We’ve added 2FA into the plugin already, which is a great start. Many of the other features you’ve mentioned sound fantastic and would definitely add value. We’ll be adding them to our feature request board, where users can vote on new ideas for our roadmap!

Thanks again for the insightful suggestions. We’re constantly looking for ways to improve, and feedback like yours helps us prioritize what to work on next. Let me know if you have any other questions, or feel free to check out the feature request board to vote and submit ideas!

Q: Any recent improvements to malware detection capabilities?

Hello Lars, just some quick pre-purchase questions about the malware detection:

1. Have there been significant improvements to the malware detection engine since last year?
2. Do you now integrate third-party malware signatures?
3. Is there a roadmap for enhancing the antimalware features in the near future?
4. What is your current update frequency for malware definitions?
5. Do you maintain a public changelog for malware signature updates?

Thanks!
