Cosmetics are secondary to me. Can you please tell me if Authorship Schema is automatically turned on for this plugin? And if it validates correctly in the Structured Schema Testing Tool? Or do I need to do extra work to inject authorship structured schema into the page?

From my testing the actual blog page, it looks like author schema is missing?
