I'm hoping WP Stack is THE ONE!
I'm very new to using WP Stack, so this review is based on my first impressions after testing it the past few days.
So far I am REALLY loving WP Stack! I've used MainWP, ManageWP, iThemes Sync, and WP Umbrella... there are things I've really liked about each of those... but there were always more things I didn't like, so I keep searching. I'm hoping WP Stack is THE ONE!
Setting up account and stacking codes was simple. No issues.
I love the UI and setup is fairly intuitive, although there is A LOT to do -- it will take time to really go through each feature and get everything set up.
The process of adding sites is very straightforward and I was impressed that WP Stack was able to automatically select the correct Analytics and Search Console account for most of the sites. There were only a couple where I had to assign manually using dropdown lists.
When clicking into an individual site dashboard, I really love all the info quickly at hand such as PHP version, WordPress version, how many total plugins and active plugins and themes, as well as how many users (including active users). And I am really impressed that I can also see whether my SSL cert is active and when it expires. Another unexpected feature not offered by any other site management SaaS I've used is being able to track Domain Registrar info right there on the dashboard. That would have saved headaches a few times over the years if I had that option before.
Uptime and backup info are also front and center, along with any updates that need attention.
Finally, Recent activity, Site Audit, and Security summaries are available there on the site's dash.
I've started going through each of the options on the left menu... still setting all that up. I haven't tried the Content Manager or Social Post features yet -- looking forward to testing those!
And I have not used the SEO feature in-depth yet, but it also looks promising.
The System Info page is fantastic! Detailed sections for everything including Server, Database, Permissions, Directories, WordPress core, plugins, themes, PHP version, Media Handling, and more.
Support is professional, friendly, responsive, and eager to help.
WP Stack areas for improvement that I noticed:
1. Better integration with Google Analytics 4.
2. A way to manually force sync a specific site -- Basically, a button to force sync a site to ensure the latest info is available regarding any WordPress core, plugin, or theme updates that need attention.
3. White label option for plugin. This is currently planned on their roadmap.
4. White label for reports and email used for reports also.
5. Reports also needs some work... a way to customize what is included in report. Not all clients want to see the same info. Some like less info and some want more.
The WP Stack Roadmap looks promising and this SaaS has huge potential! I'm looking forward to seeing where the WP Stack team takes us.
