Q: Apply Subscriptions Retroactively to Products Already Purchased?

On one of my client's sites, I created WooCommerce products for their members to pay their yearly dues. There are all one-time payments and not recurring subscriptions. Even though their members have to pay each year, they don't do recurring billing.

Is it possible to go into those products now and tick off "Subscription" and then have that particular product show up under Subscription for each person who already paid for that product?

I ask because one of the reports the client needs after the window to pay membership dues are closed is a report of who did not pay for their yearly sunscription.

Thanks for your time.

A: No,
Currently, subscriptions are only generated when a customer places a new order for a product marked as a subscription.
But Yes,
You can start using subscriptions for next year’s dues and all new orders will create actual subscription records, making it super simple going forward.
And
Manual subscription creation is also on our roadmap, so you’ll soon be able to assign a subscription retroactively from the admin side.

Thanks
